Excuse me?
> We even stood up a replication feed of their own control-plane database using credentials committed in their own repositories
using @PlanetScale is so nice with agents
after making an account, the agent signed up for billing, swapped over a staging database from supabase, duplicated all the data over, set everything up, updated my vercel envs all from a single prompt
this would've taken me like a day manually trying to navigate AWS myself

Cancelling free plan was the best thing @PlanetScale could have done. Right before the vibecoding wave, which was in retrospect the best timing. @samlambert keep pumping more awesome affordable tech.
It's been one month since we released the Neki platform preview.
Since then we've added $50 Metal nodes, improved Postgres compatibility, read-only replicas, Azure support, and much more.

There's an obvious way to build a database router. We didn't do that.
Nothing's faster than doing nothing. See how we built Neki with the laziest Postgres router possible.
