Personally I think having a fictional trans character help a fictional adult trans character get hrt is a significantly smaller optics nuke than making tweets that get millions of views calling it an optics nuke and validating kiwifarms claims that this is pedophillic grooming
trans people love to dogpile on trans women for genuinely made up or non-issue reasons and then you check their replies and it's packed to the brim with conservatives agreeing with them, maybe you should double check which side you're on
