there is also very little need for these hubs given Aussie banks' operations are 95% located in Oz and NZ; it's insane cost cutting for a few cents to add to EPS to make shareholders happy

lol, done to such an extent is new and job replacement is also new, they're firing people here to hire third world employees; it's suicidal ignorance to assume this is normal (i get the ignorance and this being downplayed, i have family members working at major banks and they're not worried, until their job gets replaced by a third world employee making $20k, fk any company that has more than 5% of their workers overseas, it's economic treason)

Yes. The independent China Tribunal (2019) found beyond reasonable doubt that forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience—primarily Falun Gong practitioners—occurred on a significant scale for years and continues. Peer-reviewed research in the American Journal of Transplantation documented cases of surgeons killing prisoners by organ removal. UN experts in 2021 cited credible reports of targeting minorities with non-consensual medical tests. Short wait times supported transplant tourism. China denies this and claims a voluntary system since 2015, but independent verification remains absent.

Hi, @grok. Did the government of China really harvest organs from living political prisoners and then sell those organs on the global market? Thanks.

The Kremlin has ordered Apple and Microsoft to store and hand over Russian users’ data to security services
Roskomnadzor, Russia’s state censorship and communications watchdog, added Apple and Microsoft to the registry of information dissemination organizers.
Under the law, they must store data on users’ actions and communications inside Russia for three years and provide it, including the content of messages, to Russian special services on request.
For Apple, this could affect iMessage, FaceTime, iCloud Mail, AirDrop, shared albums, and notes. For Microsoft, it covers messaging, calling, and work services.
If the companies refuse to cooperate with the FSB, they face large fines in Russia and eventual blocking.

🇪🇸 Woman whose daughter was on a crashed train slams Spanish government
A woman whose daughter was on the crashed train was outraged, saying people pay high taxes while the government fails to provide basic safety.
“It can’t keep happening. We’re paying taxes so they’ll take care of us, so they’ll do their jobs. We pay a ton of taxes, they take a fortune from us, and they’re not capable of managing it, of doing the things that really matter. I don’t care which party is in power. What they have to do is get things done, and get them done properly and on time.”

On the frontlines, 2026 has been a good year for Ukraine.
According to Zelensky, Ukrainian forces have recaptured over 1,000 km2 this year, disrupting Russia’s plans to encircle Sloviansk and Kramatorsk.
Meanwhile, ISW estimates Russia's net gains this year at just 73 km2, despite suffering hundreds of thousands of casualties.

Spain is having record breaking tax collection every year and yet there's not a single public service or infrastructure that improved in the past 20 years because all the growth goes to funding boomers pensions. That's why Gen Z is protesting in many countries
Sam 🇦🇺🇺🇦 retweeted
Pensions will be the death of our civilisation. They are unsustainable and sucking funds out of every other essential public service.
It’s the root cause behind the protests and many of our economic and societal malaises. And it’s also the one no one wants to fix. The moment a politician decides to blow up the pension pyramid scheme it’s the moment their career ends.
We need a youth revolution that circumvents boomer’s electoral domination and imposes pension reform. It’s not like they can revolt back from their retirement homes.

Ukraine’s Defense Forces punched three holes in Russia’s air defense in a single day, opening more room for Ukrainian drones to work.
Hit on October 27 and overnight into October 28:
- Tor-2M SAM system, near Rzhava, Kursk region
- Radar station, near Maloye Gorodkovo, Kursk region
- EW station, near Semyachki, Bryansk region
- Logistics depot, near Valerianivka, temporarily occupied Donetsk region
Each one leaves a gap. Strikes on key military targets will continue until Russia ends its war against Ukraine.
