At the beginning of the war, a Hamas leader publicly declared that anyone whose home had not been destroyed was weak in their faith.
And today, someone commented on my post about the tragedy unfolding in Gaza, telling me that what we are experiencing is “divine justice,” and that Jesus loves the people of Gaza and wants to save them from their suffering.
I cannot understand how anyone can look at such immense suffering and somehow convince themselves that it is an expression of God’s love or justice.
To me, these are profoundly disturbing beliefs. I see neither faith nor compassion in them, regardless of which God people claim to speak for.
And I categorically refuse to believe in a God who regards the suffering of innocent children as a form of salvation, or who considers it an expression of love or justice to leave a child shivering through the night, his clothes soaked, huddled with his family inside a flooded tent, with nothing to protect him from the bitter cold.
What could this child possibly have done to deserve any of this? And what kind of justice demands the suffering of a child in order to be fulfilled?
The problem is not merely the cruelty of these beliefs, but the ease with which those who hold them can turn other people’s suffering into something to be justified, and sometimes even celebrated, so long as they are convinced that God is on their side.
It is terribly easy to speak of divine wisdom from the comfort and warmth of your home, while somewhere in Gaza, a mother spends the entire night trying to keep her children warm with her own body beneath a tent filling with rainwater.
I do not know what kind of God you believe in, but I do know that a child crying from the cold does not need a religious explanation for his suffering. He needs someone to save him.
And if I must choose between a faith that justifies this child’s suffering and a humanity that refuses to accept it, I will not hesitate for a single moment to choose humanity.

All those who call themselves humanitarian activists or charity organizers suddenly came together and rushed to take photos and videos of people suffering in their tents as rain poured down on them and flooded their shelters.
But they did not come because they genuinely cared about the people or wanted to ease their suffering. They came to serve their own personal interests and ambitions.
Please, be careful. Do not support people like this.
Many of those who claim to be helping the people live in luxurious apartments, enjoy every comfort and have everything they need, while exploiting the suffering of our people to capture emotional photos and videos that will gain sympathy from the Western world.
They are turning people's misery into an opportunity for personal gain
Please, do not contribute to their selfish ambitions. Be vigilant, question their intentions, and make sure your support reaches those who are genuinely suffering and truly need it.
Our suffering is not a tool for anyone's personal gain.

I believe you can fight qadr; many people do actually. You can resist it, struggle against it, strategise around it, and exhaust every possible option, but you will never defeat it.
Indian society is hell hole, you being kind and honest is seen as being fool, everyone is either getting scammed or scamming, even in the families one is not spared from thefts, lies and manipulation. The whole existence is just about saving yourself from next con artist you meet

The worst kind of disappointment is that Gaza has turned from a cause that shook the conscience of the world into a forgotten tragedy,
living in oppression alone, while everyone continues their lives as if nothing happened

The snake with a mic is more dangerous than the mob with a lathi.
The mob lynches and the snake legitimises it, inventing issues for Hindus to justify oppression. This is every Muslim liberal/feminist selling their own people for validation while the community pays in blood.
