I'm starting to sense a divide in the tech industry:
- People thriving on autonomy who are reinventing how they work and what tools they use with AI: LOTS of work, but they're enjoying it and getting very efficient
- People used to being mentored / trained / or simply told what to do and how. Frustrated with the lack of guidance from management on what to do with AI; also frustrated by seeing some of their peers thriving; increasingly bitter about AI and the state of the industry, as a whole
Neither group seems to be aware that there's another group, or have empathy for the other group
#Apple says “The new design with Liquid Glass is beautiful, delightful, and instantly familiar.” Can you spot the buttons in the #applenotes app? Oh the joys of using t new #ipados
Customer obsession is one of @amazon 's principles. But funny enough after calling support for 5 times they haven't proactively called back to fix my problem, but expect me to handle it.
I guess the principles are just like values in many companies, good advertising.
I interviewed in a podcast by Alex Bloisi about how I got into #SoftwareEngineering and #management. It's on

In the book, Lords of finance, the author says "trusting too much in the rationality of nations and seduced by extraordinary economic achievements of the era... they totally misjudged the likelihood that a war involving all the major European powers would break out".
I've got a 16" @Apple Macbook, with 32 GB of RAM and yet it runs hot and freezes when I run @Zoom; to the point where it is unusable and I have to reboot. I can only think about the paper by Niklaus Wirth, "A plea for lean software".

Hi folks. Do you happen to have any opening for a #dotnet role in Berlin? A friend of mine got let go from his current startup as they couldn't manage to get their funding. A bit of a predicament, he needs to land a job asap or his visa expires.

Adding complexity because you can’t trust a programmer to "do it right" has always struck me as wrong. Software architects are not baby sitters. If you worry about "wrong," work collaboratively. Correct issues as they occur.
Somebody once said that the library is actually the dominant life form on the planet. Humans simply exist as the reproductive means to achieve more libraries. - Jasper Fforde, The Constant Rabbit.

👨🏽💻 In our latest tech blog "Measuring Software Teams", our colleague @sat_ran vividly shows where classical management reaches its limits in software engineering and why trust is better than control.
