People assume investing is about being right or wrong within a deterministic lens
But the ingenuity of great investors is the stochastic ability to change your mind when new information surfaces
I’ve never been more bullish that the great investors will remain irreducibly human
not only am i not worried about the crypto community's ability to handle the upcoming ai/quantum threat, i will venture to say that in the next 2 yrs the world will realize crypto is far better prepared for it than the rest of the internet and finance. we've had a trillion dollar *irreversible* honey pot for a decade, producing a far more battletested system and adversarial security culture than pretty much anywhere else on earth.

We’re about to learn that most code written over the last 20 years was complete slop and most software developers were never that good

Everyone worried about AI hacking crypto, but the internet and banking systems rely on weaker encryption.
That said, AI doesn’t need to break Bitcoin’s cryptography to cause damage, leaked data already enables more phishing, social engineering, etc,
Stay SAFU!

MAYBE I WAS WRONG ABOUT BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY
I wrote about how I always used to make fun of the guys who said things like "Bitcoin is speculative, but the underlying blockchain technology is interesting." And now I think maybe they kinda had a point.

IMO, today was another DeepSeek moment
Every 2nd/3rd tier inference provider now has a model and a recipe that can generate 90%+ margins on their compute
DeepSeek is also promising future model support and optimizations
This creates a huge incentive for inference providers to serve, as well as push their customers to use more DeepSeek models and utilize the DeepInfer inference framework
DeepSeek gets proliferation and entrenchment, while the inference providers get to make 90% margins

After a brief but institution-eroding slop science era, it increasingly looks like we are going to have two revolutions from AI:
1) Everything ever published will be re-read and re-judged in ways that human scientists never anticipated
2) Novel discoveries will start to come fast

nobody talks about the version where it doesn't work.
when i went all in on sol last cycle i actually did the math on it hitting zero.
the answer was that i'd be fucked. back to a job i didn't love, paying off a bet that didn't hit, for years.
i knew that and did it anyway.
it worked. but there's a version of me in another timeline sitting in a cubicle right now instead of posting from my couch, and he made the exact same decision i did.
i was prepared. i was mostly lucky.
when you see somebody post a win you're seeing the outcome. you're not seeing the hundred guys who took the similar bets and got erased, because they deleted the account.
if you're looking at sizing into something right now, could you live in the timeline where it doesn't work?
if yes, let it rip.
