@SidmouthScience festival is on this weekend. Check out the event schedule here sidmouthsciencefestival.org, this is a fantastic family event, definitely worth a visit.
Science club Thursday lunchtime 1.30-2.05 Sc8, Y7-9 welcome. Sugar Volcanoes were a crowd pleaser and kicked off the academic year 🌋
A very busy start to the year in the Science department at King’s! Science club, open evenings and of course, lots of practical science lessons! A few photos…
So proud of our yr12 Biologists. While the rest of yr12 were at work experience they were working hard completing required practicals & enjoying some enrichment activities. Thanks to @ClintonDevon @DevonWildlife and @WildwoodDevon who helped us deliver a great week of activities.
What a great way to end the year, with an alternative water fight! Students made their own straw fountains & then got very wet. We're looking forward to seeing returning & new faces at Science Club in September. Look out for posters with details for next year day/time
We loved making RainbowFizz at Science club this week. We’re celebrating the rich and diverse nature of our school community. We are proud to be part of King’s Pride month 2024 and look forward to a month of activities and celebrations #prideinSTEM @TheKingsPSHE @KingsSchoolOSM

Do you love teaching practical #science? Do you want to teach A Level science? Do you want to be supported by a fantastic team of expert #teachers and #technicians? If the answer is yes to these questions, we would love to hear from you. #AchievementforAll
An interesting lesson on sustainability and Entomophagy, thank you @PaightonZ Some adventurous year 7s (&teachers) tried the insects too.
Mrs Beadman & the year 7s were very excited to see the red pandas up close at @PaightonZ today (they’ve always been hiding when we’ve been before!)
SA:Vol practical with year 11 today…so nice to ‘see’ the difference in the rate of diffusion with different cell sizes with your own eyes. #bringingsciencetolife
A selection of human cheek cell slides. I think they are some of the best cheek cell slides I’ve seen. 🧫🔬🥼 well done 10Xs22 👏🏻
We are proud of each & every one of our A-level scientist. Some amazing results taking you on to university/other adventures. If it wasn’t quite what you’d hoped in that envelope, remember A-level is only a part of your journey not the destination! sidmouthherald.co.uk/news/23…
Mr Dodds’ year 9 class worked extremely hard on their science fair project and I think you’ll agree the displays are amazing. Well done 9B 👏🏻
10X1 loved the moss safari today (so did Mrs Dean!), such a great practical @MossSafari. Shame my photography skills aren’t quite so good (I blame it on my excitement!) #achievementforall
@KingsSchoolOSM Looking forward to doing it again with science club in September 🔬
