This is shocking, UK made arms should not be being sold to target civilians. youtu.be/nPZtUxEGpW4

.@SouthernWater CEO Lawrence Gosden is cordially invited to #SewageFest to see their disgusting sewage pollution first hand. We need better solutions to the sewage pollution crisis and we need them now.
Lovely evening @WildlifeTrusts Nature Night, what a wonderful group of writers & lively, fascinating discussion. Settling down with a book for the evening. #30DaysWild
None of our national parks are wild enough to withstand the shocks of the extinction and climate crises.
Tell the UK Government and devolved administrations to mandate #wildernationalparks and restore nature on a large scale

Really pleased to see this from National Trust, recognising the past and highlighting links to slavery, while protecting special places for ever for everyone. They’re going through a hard time right now but we need them more than ever.
Many of the places we care for have direct or indirect links to slavery, including objects made from materials obtained by forced labour.
Today, as we mark the @UNESCO Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition, we take a closer look at these materials.

From Guardian, letter from Andy Stuart of Rye E Sussex: "I suggest Bristol replaces Edward Colston w a different statue every day to honour an individual whom Colston “shipped”. It would be 233 years before plinth became empty again. That is the enormity of the man’s inhumanity."

BLM protestors took down Edward Colston’s statue 56 hours ago. Since then Belgium has taken down King Leopold II, London’s taken down Robert Milligan, Liverpool Uni will rename its halls, Plymouth will rename a square and memorials for Windrush have been planned.
Protest works.
