The Telegraph (for years) : "We want our blue 🇬🇧passports back !" The Telegraph (today) : Why has "the power of our 🇬🇧 passports plummeted, causing chaos ?" (dramatic loss of residency and work rights, more visas, more queues, more hassle and expense etc)

Listen to Matthew McConaughey on the need for gun reform. "These are the same green Converse on her feet that turned out to be the only clear evidence that could identify her after the shooting."

It’s Holocaust Memorial Day. This year, I’m thinking of a woman called Sulamita Szapiro. Here she is as a student. We weren’t related and I don’t even know much about her, but I’m pretty sure that remembering her still falls to me. This is a thread about why.

Maybe it needs to be repeated that I was not at my wife's bedside when she died. I was allowed to watch her die on the NHS equivalent of a Zoom call.

My wife, the beautiful Colette, died today at 3.40pm. I loved her so much. She was an incredible, talented, funny and caring human being and I don’t know what I’ll do without her. This is a very sad day.

I was asked to speak at a carol concert. I wasn’t christmassy, spoke about being sad and accidentally swore in church again.
