J’ai vraiment adoré flashback 🤩
The Amiga 500 didn't go away quietly, despite increased pressure from PCs and the console market in 1992 (the year it was discontinued).
An absolute showcase for its still remaining popularity and power was Flashback (1992), designed by Paul Cuisset for Delphine Software.
To me, the Holy Trinity of platformers on the Amiga will forever be Prince of Persia, Another World, and Flashback.
Set in the year 2142, you play as Conrad B. Hart, waking up with amnesia in a jungle on Titan (one of Saturn’s moons) after crashing while escaping pursuers.
You find a holocube message recorded for yourself, saying to meet your friend Ian in the city of New Washington. As the story unfolds, you learn that you're an agent who discovered a conspiracy by shape-shifting aliens called Morphs.
Ce jeu était une vraie révolution à sa sortie
Leaps and bounds ahead of its time in 1992: Alone in the Dark (Infogrames).
It's widely credited as the first 3D survival horror game and a major step for third-person polygonal adventures. It wasn't "pure" 3D though, but used real-time 3D polygonal characters, monsters, and objects on static, pre-rendered 2D backgrounds, with fixed cinematic camera angles.
Guinness World Records later listed it as the first 3D survival horror game, which also strongly influenced Resident Evil and other survival horror games later on.
Ce jeu était magnifique à l’époque. Quel plaisir d’y jouer. Un jeu de plateforme différent de tous les autres
Doom, duke nukem 3d, … 🤩
Part 2 of the games that made me, me.
I knew I couldn’t fit them all into one post. These are a few more that left their mark on me, games tied to different times in my life, different memories, and countless hours I’ll never forget.
Half-Life, Red Alert, Myst, DOOM, Duke Nukem 3D, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Black & White, Battlefield 1942, StarCraft II… every one of them takes me back somewhere.
J’espère qu’un jour on fera un patchwork de jeux comme ça pour 2026 et qu’il y aura #slagball slagball.com 🤞
Magnifique
This is absolutely insane. I just built a fully seamless "No Man's Sky". With AAA-Graphics with 1 prompt. Using Opus 5.5 & @threejs on @TesanaAI
The game has over 80 planets to seamlessly explore. Every planet has it's unique biome, minerals, aliens and weather system.
You can leave the space ship and explore every planet freely.
The flying and handling of the space craft feels just perfect. The video speeds up a bit to save you the time it takes to traverse the galaxy.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The game page describes four worlds with a basic objective to recover four warp cores, not over 80 unique planets. Tesana documentation states games require iterative prompting and use the Godot engine.
