Your customer's pain is your best ad.
That's why I obsess over every detail of their reality in my True Story Ads.
I just shipped one for @EdifyContent for a new lead gen offer.
It started with one Story Extraction call.
The founder told me exactly what his target customer deals with in vivid detail. Like burning thousands on conference sponsorships, shaking hands with people who just sneezed into their palms, and flying home with three lukewarm leads and a cold they didn't ask for.
As he spoke, the entire world formed in my mind.
From the characters to the shots.
Then I took that world and built it using my suite of AI tools to put his customer's pain on screen in vivid, uncomfortable detail.
The opening shot? A man sneezes into his hand and reaches out for a handshake. (Gross.)
From there, the viewer watches a story they've lived.
Their world.
Their language.
Their wasted budget.
And when the product enters the picture, it doesn't feel like a pitch. It feels like the only logical next step.
The result was the first inbound lead coming in under 24 hours of launch.
That's the power of a True Story Ad.
Want this for your offer? DM me the problem your customer has and I'll tell you if it's a fit.
āResourceful, reinventive, nurturingā
Claude kinda surprised me with that last oneā¦
I definitely love taking care of the people and animals around me.
Iām resourceful because I have to be (especially in this season of rebuilding.)
And corporate to AI powered creator is definitely my biggest personal reinvention.
Claude knows more about me than Iād anticipated!
Ok, after spending the last few days working with agents for editing, I've gotta walk part of this back.
When I wrote this post, I'd only been using agents for shorts. And it worked wonderfully for that purpose.
But after working on a long form with agents for the first time, I feel like the benefit of not having to do grunt work has been completely eradicated by the sheer amount of WAITING involved.
Yes, the final product looks great and the team is happy with it, but MAN...
the process is SLLLOOOOWWWWW!!
I truly hope that it's just a skill issue on my end. Because this was my first attempt at long form editing with agents, I know that there was a learning curve involved.
But my main objective in even trying to learn agentic workflows is to ultimately save time.
I can confidently say that agents can match my level of quality (it truly is impressive in that area), but I'm not 100% convinced on the speed part...yet.
What would make it much better is if I could still work in premiere while claude code was running. I could multitask, and that'd do a lot for productivity.
But I can't!!
But I'll figure it out. I'll keep experimenting.
I'll have more to say in the coming days.
And for full context:
- The project length was 19 minutes
- My agent was Claude code running Tesseract
- I gave Claude full access to my computer
- It edited inside of premiere pro using something called a "Claude bridge" (which was installed automatically it seems)
See, these are precisely the sorts of creators who are gonna be left behind in a years time when AI makes current workflows obsolete.
Why would you NOT want to maximize efficiency?
I canāt believe this is how people really think.
While I spent most of last week trying out different agentic workflows so that I can optimize my time and become more productive for clients, others seem DETERMINED to not adapt to new tech, even when it means they might be out of a job.
Idek why Iām writing this. Stay in your ways if you want. Thatās less competition for meeee!! šš

The product > the process
The anti-AI side will eventually learn that buyers/consumers donāt really give a crap about your processā¦
or effortā¦
or how much you suffered to create something.
The ONLY thing that matters is if the final product is good or not.
I JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCH!! š„ŗšø
Lord, I pray that you will shield my eyes from ever seeing such a dreadful thing again!
As a New Yorker, Iād never had the opportunity to get to know these little guys.
But Florida has allowed me to admire them up close.
Iām tearing up thinking about yesterday. šš
RIP MR. RIBBIT!!!

As much as I want to disagree with this... He's 100% right.
Editors don't seem to understand how powerful AI is in this field.
Claude has saved me HOURS from boring repetitive tasks like syncing audio, rough cuts, etc...
And it doesn't stop there. It's actually pretty good with visuals. If you know how to prompt.
My advice to every single video editor is to take Agentic editing very seriously and to STOP COPING.
You need to be honest with yourself about the impact to freelance editors and remember this is the worst this technology will ever beā¦
And the most expensive.
Team YouTube is building a FREE agentic editor that is native to the YouTube Create Appā¦
You need to take this seriouslyā¦
And itās not that human editing is over but itās going to be for BIG YOUTUBERS in terms of hiring going forward.
And for companies.
NOT the Middle Class or Working Class Creator, whom money and time are both more scarce for.
Especially in this economyā¦
Thumbnail Artists are feeling this already, VTuber models are next and that might be fully open sourced by some upcoming projects.
For MOST creators under 1M subscribers, video editing over the next 5 years will largely go to near $0ā¦
And even if itās not that severe, no video editor loses by acting on that assumption and hardening their businessā¦
Pursue clients with higher budgets NOW. Because anyone that is mid tier or early stage creator is not going to keep paying for videos they are barely profitable on after covering an editorā¦
I canāt sleep.
I keep replaying Mr. Ribbitās last moments in my mind. ššš
RIP Mr. Ribbit šø (who Iām realizing is a toad)
You were so cute and fat!
I shouldāve picked you up while I had the chance. šš
I just saw a car run over a cute frog and my entire year is ruined.
Sometimes I wish I didnāt love animals as much as I do, but I canāt help it.
Iām crying and trembling as if it was a human child who got hit.
I just have a soft spot for all Godās creatures.
(Except š¦)
This discovery alone has already radically transformed my editing workflow.
I feel like Iāve been spared from grunt work (cutting, splicing, etc.) and can now focus 100% on flair and polish.
As an editor, itās both anxiety inducing and liberating.
Claude Desktop with the Premiere Pro MCP is essentially a full-stack video editor for MOST creators that can also be guided on Retention Theory from the top YouTube Strategists around the world⦠(via markdown files)
It is perfect for talking head videos, commentary, product reviews, linear vlogs, storytime videos, tutorials and DIY content, travel content, lifestyle content, and reaction videos.
I donāt think it clears āviralā storytelling and spectacle style videos that are popular. But Iād estimate itās more than sufficient for 80% of video niches.
Gaming would be very mixed.
It can currently handle:
- Color Correction/Grading (w/ scopes)
- Motion Graphics (essential graphics)
- Audio Correction and Clean Up
- Multi-cam Editing
- Cutting your Intro/Hook
- Chapter and Marker Labels
- Cuts (J+L) and Zooms
- Transitions + Effects
- Sound Design
- Music Track selection
- B-roll selection and placement
- Pacing, Timing and Structure
- Speed Ramping
- Rough-cut Clean up of bad takes and silences or long pauses.
- Caption Export of SRT files
- Brand Enforcement of Fonts and Colors
- Stock Footage Pulls from your assets (Storyblocks, Epidemic Sound, Adobe)
- Data Graphics from MOGRT files and templates
Nearly anything you have seen in modern YouTube the last 10 years, it can handle through the best practices and techniques of almost any editing style as long as you are a good art director and prompt a well made creative brief, and have the assets available.
It would be largely indistinguishable from having an editor in a chair in front of you working hand in hand. I understand WHY human editors would want to push back on that.
It would be interesting to see them go head to head with someone guiding this set of tools with the same assets and then having a panel of viewers and editors vote on it in a blind test to see which edits scored higher and how well.
Iād be curious to see how close it isā¦
You can also still do all the manual polish you want, on a well structured and cleanly labeled timeline.
You still need to review the cut, just like you would with a human editor.
And I would recommend having it explain its choices and priorities.
Wait, we can attach gifs/images on YouTube now?
I saw this in the comments and was thoroughly confused.
Thatād be a dope addition!!
WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET SEEDANCE 2.5 TO NOT GENERATE MUSIC????!!!!????????
I feel like I'm being trolled at this point. Cuz no matter what i do, there's always a stupid friggin' soundtrack.
I'LL HANDLE THE MUSIC MYSELF! STOP BAKING IT IN!!!

AI didnāt take a commission from an artist when my budget was zero. it took a project out of a folder called āmaybe somedayā
The anti-AI people would NEVER!! šš
Every time I get a āall you do is push a buttonā comment, I want to challenge that person to see if they can make anything of quality with just āpushing a button.ā
Then and only then would they realize the amount of effort that goes into making anything good.
But of courseā¦they never would.
That last line thoā¦š®āšØš®āšØ
Thatās kinda my impression too. For many, the arts were just a status symbol.
Now that the barriers are dissolving, theyāre mad. Which is messed up on so many levels.
Hereās something I find fascinating about AI.
For years, we told people to follow their dreams.
Want to make a film? Learn filmmaking.
Want to build an app? Learn to code.
Want to make music? Learn an instrument.
Today technology is removing some of those barriers, and now people are being told they havenāt earned the right to create.
Maybe they were more comfortable encouraging people to follow their dreams when they knew most of them couldnāt afford to pursue them.
9 out of 16.
Thatās how many times I could tell whether a piece of Baroque music was composed by a human or by AI.
(I should just burn my music degree right now, cuz...WHAT????)
My only consolation is that I caught 7 out of the 8 AI-generated pieces.
But the simple fact that there was an AI generated piece that I couldn't detect is HIGHLY ALARMING!!!! šš
Now, regarding the REAL composers whose works I flagged as AI (Vivaldi, Telemann, Lully, Buxtehude, Albinoni, Graupner)...
Upon listening to the selected excerpts again, I still stand by my answers. š
To me, they sound awkward, random, with questionable voice leading, weird harmonic changes, etc.
And I LOVE me some Vivaldi and Telemann (who I feel supply like, 50% of the bassoon's repertoire), but these are hardly their best works. š I can clearly see why some of the selected pieces don't get played often...
But yeah, enough of me coping.
I guess my AI detection skills are decent enough, but my ability to tell A-tier generated compositions from B, C, and D-tier human ones leaves much to be desired.
Fascinating times we're living in...
Musicians, how did you do?
