And that's a wrap! Another peak season has come to an end. Most park roads are now closed to vehicles as we prepare for the upcoming winter season. Interior roads will open to snowmobiles and snowcoaches on Dec. 15! go.nps.gov/YELLseasons

Trump and the Republicans have controlled the entire government for almost 2 years. Our country is declining. We are at war with Iran. Inflation is skyrocketing. Gas and food prices are outrageous. Good jobs are getting harder to find. Vote blue

Yes, the rumors are true. We're multi-millionaires who actually want to pay more. That's because we're not afraid to say the quiet part out loud: the system is broken. marienewman.substack.com/p/a…

Younger voters have historically turned out at lower rates than older voters. Looking at this election cycle, what would actually get more high school- and college-aged people to care and participate once they’re eligible? Better civics education, different candidates, different issues, or something else?

My view of homeless people changed forever when I learned that more than half of them were foster kids who aged out of the system and were left with no family or resources

About 20% of patients on long-term opioid therapy can experience hypoadrenalism. However, opioid-induced endocrinopathies are often reversible if the opioid dose is tapered, rotated, or discontinued. When cessation is not an option (such as with necessary long-term pain management or medication-assisted treatment), management may involve targeted hormone replacement therapy (such as testosterone or hydrocortisone) under an endocrinologist's guidance.

Patriotic Millionaire Dr. Carol Winograd is a retired professor of medicine at Stanford University School of Med. She warns cuts to Medi-Cal will hit pregnant women especially hard—putting both mothers & babies at risk. That’s why she’s voting YES on Prop 40 & NO on 41 and 42.

Hi there 👋 If you're new here, here's something to know about us: We're an advocacy group of wealthy Americans pushing for saner, more inclusive tax policies. That includes measures like Prop 40 in California: motherjones.com/politics/202…

Patriotic Millionaire Terry Winograd has watched California’s wealth boom for 53 years. Now, as the state sets out to put a check on the explosion of billionaire wealth, he believes it’s time these folks pay their fair share. He’s voting YES on Prop 40 and NO on Props 41 and 42.

Are you on Medicare? Or nearly there? Trump + his Republican minions in Congress are taking away benefits and making it more expensive for Seniors on a fixed income. If you want to save SS, Medicare + Medicaid, vote for Democrats. #VoteBlueToSaveAmerica #VoteOutEveryRepublican
The Trump administration announced the end of the Medicare Part D subsidies, which are set to expire after 2026. This decision is expected to increase prescription drug premiums for many seniors enrolled in the program

American black bears are busy preparing for winter, eating high-calorie foods like pinecone seeds and acorns throughout the parks. Please give them plenty of space—allowing bears to eat natural foods with minimal disturbance helps them stay healthy for the season ahead. If you spot a bear while driving, slow down, and if you would like to observe it from a safe distance, pull completely into a designated parking area or turnout to avoid traffic jams and collisions. Please only observe for a short while so that bears do not become habituated to human presence.  Remember to follow all proper food storage and trash disposal guidelines while visiting the parks to keep our wildlife safe and healthy. I got my wish! "The scope of Dollar General’s pricing misconduct is staggering," the complaint notes. "Dollar General is well aware it routinely charges consumers more at the register than the price... on the shelf." 🧵
We need a RICO act for corporate crime. Dollar General routinely overcharges customers. In NY, it's paying $1.9M after it failed 43% of price inspections & overcharged on 14% of items. Many states have found the same. But it keeps happening, because the fines are too small.
