The deal is dependent upon regulatory approval, which could happen by the end of the year.

Heads up, New Jersey: Rail service changes are in effect through November 15 as NJ TRANSIT and Amtrak are beginning critical work to transfer the final track from the 116-year-old Portal Bridge to the new Portal North Bridge.
During this phase, customers on all rail lines except the Atlantic City Rail Line will experience temporary adjustments to rail service. Expect modified train schedules to include some train consolidations or cancellations, and others with changed departure times and/or stopping patterns.

Washington needs a good power washing top to bottom. Five things I would do today to end corruption in Washington across all three branches of government:
1. Ban all stock trading.
2. Ban all participation in prediction markets.
3. Mandatory retirement at 75 years old.
4. Mandatory blind trust for individuals with a net worth more than $1 million.
5. Ban all foreign gifts to public officials, including foreign investments in their businesses or other entities.

The sad fact about this story is that there are a lot of people in DC who will read this and simply shrug and say, “it’s just the way Washington has worked for decades.” And I’m sure senators (who should be quaking about a story like this) have instead convinced themselves that this isn’t even illegal and if it is, it will take years (or never) for law enforcement to build a case. The swamp is a real thing, this admin didn’t drain it, they monetized it. There’s an extra layer of rot in this town at the moment and everyone who has lived and worked here for a while knows it.
New: In late 2024, FBI investigators had enough evidence to launch a sweeping bribery probe that could ensnare top lawmakers, including Sen. Susan Collins. Then Trump was reelected and eviscerated the FBI and DOJ teams handling public corruption probes. propub.li/4yLLwaF

“The Fox broadcast showed water being poured on players’ shoes to keep them cool, and [EaglesOG] Cam Jurgens said he had to replace his cleats several times because they melted.”
