Interesting to see newspaper reports today about arms-length state advisory bodies, the Climate Change Advisory Council & NESC, taking future-oriented policy positions that are markedly at odds with the current direction of Govt policies. They should not be ignored or resented.

While serious injuries and deaths on our roads are at record levels, the government is abandoning the road safety reforms recommended by an independent review without any justification or evidence.

They've done it again, they've cut more rail projects. The most criminal one for me is cancelling the reopening of the Waterford-Wexford/Rosslare line. On the left is the All-island Rail Review published by the last government and on the right is the plan published today.

This latest report makes for quite difficult reading. Trashing nature for decades and treating it like a commodity or inconvenience has left us with a once in a lifetime opportunity to restore our habitats and species. greenparty.ie/news/eu-report…

Grateful to colleagues across parties on Cork City Council standing behind our county colleagues in their submission on the proposed incinerator at Ringaskiddy. Cork Harbour is a shared resource between the two local authorities. Air pollution doesn't stop at the city boundary.

It's been 3 months since I posed this question to the Min. for Health and HSE. The climate emergency isn’t just about weather - it’s about lives. And if we aren't measuring something, we can’t manage it. (1/2)

🏠Having a warm place to live should not depend solely on a landlord's decision. ❗We need a Government strategy to ensure that everyone benefits from this retrofit revolution with increased incentives and minimum BER standards for rental properties.

Grateful for the cross-party support at today's launch of World Vacant Homes Day outside Leinster House in Dublin. The greenest home is the one that's already built. Vacancy and dereliction blight communities across our cities, towns and rural areas.
