It’s possible, & justifiable to say there is political opportunism going on with Powell & his wife.
But he has the highest level of vetting, & when I was DV’d they researched my family & if my wife had said the things she has I wouldn’t have got the job.
This is why activist bikers are hated.
He’s got a clearly marked divided cycle lane on the left, where he should return to after an overtake, & instead of using it goes head to head with a bus he can clearly see approaching.
Classic careless cycling.

Stephen Kinnock’s claim that there were no boat people because we were in the European Union is a straightforward lie. Illegal immigrants flooded in by lorry, train and cars. They disappeared into towns/cities and couldn’t be properly counted. When advances in technology made these methods of transport much harder to use the illegal migrants took to boats, courtesy of the people smugglers. Since the boats are usually interdicted on arrival the counting is easier. Nothing to do with being in or out of the EU.
The final paragraph lays down a truth that many on social media will refuse to believe.
Much of the social media campaign to free Letby is unhinged & simply ignores the evidence given at trial whilst avoiding the fact no one knows what the new evidence is.
Very insightful post from David James Smith who formally worked at CCRC.

What old Henry doesn’t understand is he’s saying Letby committed perjury & fabricated an alibi when she could have just “told the truth” and said she called for help to save the baby thus giving her a substantial defence.
And he accuses others of being a delusional maniac.
This is how remoaners think. 17.3 million people voted to leave the EU.
No party has ever got close to that number of people supporting them. The closest was 14 million for Major. Starmer got 9.4 million in 2024.
Thats why they don’t want another referendum.
We joined in 1973 without a referendum.
Labour would have removed us without one in 1983.
1975 and 2016 refs were political devices to ensure party unity not some moral desire for universal democratic consent.
I think referenda have outlived their usefulness in a parliamentary democracy plainly undermined by divisive plebiscites.
The public want leadership which a general election provides.
And always has.
Not followership which is the ref cop out.
They don't want another brexit referendum. That's for sure.
Let's bin them. And let politicians stand or fall on their manifestos.
After he made his first comments every high profile Remoaner on X was telling us it proved the Brexit vote was illegitimate because of this interference.
Burnham knew that was the narrative his comments would generate.
He was rolling the grass for his campaign to rejoin.
If you see laudatory reviews of Morris’s book praising its research show them this clip. It’s an outright lie Letby was the only full time nurse. It’s an outright lie she worked so much overtime she was “always there” & it’s an outright lie that this was why she was blamed.
"....of course she's there, she's the only full time nurse....
Chris Morris wrote a book of fiction on Letby, doncha know. It's called Reasonable Doubt.
He's currently doing the rounds on low brow You Tube platforms promoting it.
He posted this today claiming that Letby was the only full time nurse.
How on earth does anyone have the arrogance and ego to publish a book displaying such ignorance about such basic facts? Or does he know but hopes people will fall for his disinformation?
Including Letby there were 16 full time staff working 37.5 hours. Letby was present for less than 22% of shifts.
With the book and hundreds of You Tube videos he sells, Morris is an absolute grifting disgrace.

Parody accounts can be faintly amusing. But sometimes they reveal a truth in the name of humour that it’s hard to argue with.
This thread is instructive. Jolly demands to know the evidence Letby is guilty. Treadwell says ‘well, there is months of medical & eye witness evidence which convinced the jury’.
Jolly replies. ‘You’ve got 280 characters to summarise a 10 month trial, what’s your problem
Replying to @ContrarianJolly @DrJamesCMorgan
Because it was met. You are just a broken record. Letby will die in prison, as guilty today as she was on the day she was convicted. The victims parents, police, colleagues and jury saw it, I reckon even Ben Myers probably did. But a few people on social media do not. Oh well...
One of the amazing features of the Letby case is the fanaticism of her supporters. The slightest pushback & they throw a final abusive post then block so that they can talk to like minded cult members without being disturbed by non believers.
It’s why they will fail. Cults do.
This does sum up the insanity of the Letby cult
No one has even seen the new medical evidence yet a retired doctor thinks a couple of pages of summaries & a declaration she’s innocent means she should be released. @doctorcaldwell really has done his patients a favour by retiring
Replying to @doctorcaldwell
You reckon a prisoner should be released from custody because her defence team present summary reports at a press conference ?
Hammond is an idiot. Not just a little bit of an idiot, but a weapons grade idiot who is also a liar. Quite a combination.
He lied about both the law & facts of the Letby case & instead of accepting he was wrong he doubled down.
Thanks to the lawyers who've pointed out that in law, solid proof isn't needed & you can be locked up for unproven bollocks. I didn't think the legal establishment could embarrass itself more than the post office scandal, but Letby may yet surpass this for idiocy @ccrcupdate

The idea that Hislop/Private Eye are the Ministry of Truth is beyond parody. He’s delusional.
Older people are now reading "a lot of chatbot rubbish" and that's "dangerous."
After four decades at Private Eye, Ian Hislop tells #Newsnight it's not just young people falling for disinformation and why it "is always worth correcting."
