Do they really understand what culture is? Hot 100, that radio single handedly shook the position of kidandali, championed one of the biggest hip hop eras in this country..

I still remember some nights vividly, like they happened yesterday. The night The Mith & JB premiered Boujie Woujie. Mad times. What a time. The impact both stations had on UG hiphop

My people, what should our next story be about?
1. Baker Walusimbi the serial killer.
2. Opposition leaders who have remained in power the longest.
3. Entebbe Express Highway murders.
4. The murder of a Swiss-based couple in Entebbe.
5. Your choice. Tell me. 😊

Radio is evolving, not dying. In the UK, 87% of adults tune in to Radio every week, in the US it’s 92%. Radio still dominates in car listening globally, in Uganda it remains the most widely used medium, well ahead of TV and social media at 82% of population listening everyday. What could be struggling is the traditional style of listening through FM or AM frequency.
Bottom line, the stations currently struggling are those who are not evolving.

That’s true, but I’ve also seen a few DJs on a few occasions, those guys really fail to notice what those guys are doing for the Afro house and Afro tech music genre in Uganda….but I’m sure all its going to take is one year or even less, and everyone will start to appreciate.
