CLOSED FOR THE SEASON
The final 2.7 miles of SR 542/Mt. Baker Hwy, the Road to Artist Point (MP 54), is CLOSED for winter as of 3p Sun (10/25).
SR 542 remains open to the seasonal closure point. Winter recreationalists should still monitor conditions throughout the season.

This is SB I-5 just before 520. The trooper and DOT were blocking the ramp for a stalled bus when a motor home struck the patrol car and DOT truck. Trooper transported with a leg injury and concussion. DOT not injured. Passenger in motor home has a broken ankle.

On the I-5 northbound on-ramp from US-2 (MP 194) there is a collision partially blocking the ramp.
Police said the elderly woman suffered minor injuries and was taken for medical treatment. PER: King 5
Several deputies along with fire crews have responded to this attack. Patient transported by medic unit. A mother bear & her cub are very close to residence in site. Deputies have provided cover for EMS crews to treat & transport patient. WA state wildlife officers responding.
