WTF, $3000 Samsung TV has an always-on mic, automatic content recognition, geo tracking, network mapping, and ships your data to Samsung + 400 partners. Bro Rooted a brand-new 2025 Samsung TV after noticing absurdly targeted ads. Firmware was locked down, so zero-days it was. Got a root shell. then found: always-on voice service, ACR, geo, full telemetry pipeline, and four separate DRM systems. This isn’t a bug, It’s the product bro.

Nice 👏
Claude Code will now try to find a graceful stopping point when you hit your 5-hour limit mid-task, instead of cutting off mid-edit. It gets a small, fixed allowance pulled from your weekly limit to wrap up what it can.

We analyzed how @claudeai’s Opus 5.5 writes compared with Opus 5 across high-reasoning Text Arena outputs. 10 of 12 writing measures moved in a better direction. Opus 5.5 should be easier to read: - Long content words fall from 41.7% to 38.6%, the lowest share of any Claude model we analyzed. - Sentences are 17% shorter on average, dropping from 12.14 to 10.03 words. The tradeoff is length. Answers get 6% wordier, rising from 453 to 481 words on average, making Opus 5.5 give the longest answers across the Opus family. It also sounds less recognizably AI on two familiar tells: - 95% fewer em dashes - 73% fewer semicolons But a new giveaway may be emerging. Hedges and caveats such as “perhaps” and “arguably” rise 97%, from 0.39 to 0.77 per 1,000 words, the highest rate of any Claude model we analyzed. What do you think: does Opus 5.5 read more naturally?

Man I am much more productive with Opus 5.5 simply because I can actually fucking understand what it’s saying.
Replying to @claudeai
Opus 5.5 communicates more naturally, addressing some of the most common feedback we heard on Opus 5. It puts the most important information up front and follows the writing rules you give it, which makes long sessions easier to follow.

Quick Superlogical demo to end the week. This demo is just of the basic functionality, but I want to highlight just how FAST it is. There's a WHOLE lot more functionality already present and coming but I wanted to keep the demo short. But seriously, check out that speed. I'm showing the macOS app here and I get asked a lot so let me just say up front: its not macOS only. We're still figuring out exactly what platforms will be stable enough for the initial public release, but we're working on others. In particular, the web interface is very functional but I'll demo that another time (or someone else will). This is also all showing off the architecture I previously talked about for terminal multiplexing which is significantly different from other mainstream multiplexers: this is all a custom binary protocol where the server is maintaining N replica distributed terminal state machines. It works! Tons of hard work going into this by the team @almonk @dizzyup @pearkes. Hope we can bring you something you can use soon. ❤️ Happy to answer questions in the replies.

Introducing Claude Opus 5. It's a thoughtful and proactive model that comes close to the frontier intelligence of Fable 5 at half the price.

New in Claude Code: Remote Control. Kick off a task in your terminal and pick it up from your phone while you take a walk or join a meeting. Claude keeps running on your machine, and you can control the session from the Claude app or claude.ai/code

I find it very funny when anyone feels confident that they've figured out agentic programming, even funnier when they're trying to teach others how to do it. I've been working on OpenCode since May of last year and I still have days (like yesterday) where I'm not even sure any of this is a good idea lol I end up landing on "yes, these models are an incredible tool" but it's still all very confusing, lots of tangled thoughts and emotions and realities. I badly miss the mundane coding tasks that broke up my days/weeks, the ones where you put on the headphones and just bang out 600 lines of code. But, no question, replacing those hours of my time with a few minutes of waiting on an agent is a boost and worth being excited about, despite the mixed emotions. Then there's the distance that can creep in between you and the codebase if you start getting apathetic. I think it's pretty common at this point to make even small changes by prompting the models. It's less friction than finding the relevant code and making the change yourself. And less friction seems to win, must be some law of the universe or some shit. When most or all of your interactions with a codebase start flowing through the models, you start to lose track of where things live, which abstractions/components are carrying the weight, etc. It's a scary feeling to wake up and realizing you can't even reliably @<mention> a precise file for a change you want to make, and you have to get more vague, leaning harder on the model. It all creeps up on you, there's an undeniable dopamine hit from using these things, and the resulting come down is predictable, like coming off a sugar high. On the positive side, it's really nice seeing other devs go through the same cycles, knowing we're all in this together and we'll ultimately figure it out.

Finally! The FTC is suing Adobe - specifically, its executives - for dark practices that should be illegal. The company tricked me into subscribing to exactly this in 2020 which I had no idea would mean when cancelling, Adobe demands ~$300 and lose access *immediately!*
