Towhid Hridoy's 242 out of 386 is 63.0% of BAN's total. No double hundred in an innings in which the batting side was bowled out makes up a higher percentage. Before Hriday, Seymour Nurse made 258 out of 417 all out for WI in NZ in 1969. Sehwag made 201 out of 329 in 2008.

When youโ€™re class, pitch doesnโ€™t matter you find a way to score. Raza, Russell, Miller, Bosisto, Bopara and Warner are all playing with ease, while our batter, who played entire career on these pitches,canโ€™t even score at run a ball and keep piling pressure on non striker

highest scorer for Bangladesh is a huge achievement. I think it heralds a new age for Bangladeshi cricket where we grow on the platform provided by the big 3 of Mushfiqur, Shakib and Tamim who held the records of 200s for Bangladesh before this. Hopefully many more to come.

first century being a double century is cold great innings from Hridoy (bit annoyed he took a single on the first ball of the over but ok) โ€” shouldโ€™ve been in the team a lot sooner and hopefully heโ€™s cemented his spot in the team from now on. Only his 3rd test too.
