A Staten Island judge has ruled against the DOT's Victory Blvd bus lanes, saying they "haphazardly disregarded its own research-backed guidelines" and it's "too dangerous to justify its existence"
The 10.5' width is below the DOT's Street Design Manual recommended 11' minimum
It's unclear what this means for the already completed portions

Per Hanna's affidavit in the KCDCC dispute, former Tresurer (Jean Joseph) and 6th Vice Chair (Debbie Louis) both resigned
The respondents said this was due to threats against them, while Hanna claimed it was in recognition of the unlawfulness of the purported exec cmte
Judge has signed Velazquez's TRO against the KCDCC Exec Cmte, restraining Lucas, et al from
- giving effect to Oct 25 meeting
- allowing Ken Farrell to act as treasurer
- using party funds
- holding Oct 27 meeting
- changing party rules
- destroying records
Hearing on Oct 29

As the legal battle to determine who leads the party rolls on, Brooklyn Dems' executive committee received notice last night from AM Nikki Lucas – AM Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn's handpicked successor – that she was setting a meeting for Oct. 27 to vote on two new rule changes.
The group claiming to be the KDCC Exec Cmte held a meeting last night to elect Ken Farrell as Treasurer, in advance of the tmrw's rule change meeting in preparation to remove Chair Velazquez
The chair is seeking a new TRO to block these and any financial dealings in the interim
Clearly there's worry about what's happening with the KDCC bank accounts right now
Petitioners are also likely correct that the earlier TRO against the KDCC Exec Cmte should not have expired, however this judge held otherwise

Replying to @sharpie_eraser
The issue is that the OSC's language appears to conflict with itself, and the judge seems to have chosen the preamble language that terminates on hearing, rather than ordinal paragraphs that terminate on determination
I regrettably buried the lede on this, which is the TRO has expired
Some decisions in the Kings County Dem Cmte fight
- Permitted Lucas and RBH to intervene
- Denied dismissal for failure to join necessary parties
- Denied disqualification of Velazquez's lawyers
No decision on Sep 23 rule votes or the Oct 4 meeting

The TRO is no longer in effect, per the Oct 21 decision
That reading of the OSC is debatable, but plaintiffs would need to raise it

James Dolan is approaching Bond Level evil and it’s no surprise his political leanings shift based on the last person to promise giving him a highly lucrative tax break.

New York's highest state court, the Court of Appeals, is staying out of the Brooklyn Dems leadership fight for now, it decided this morning.
Decisions are made by the comptrollers of the city and state, as bound by state laws on permitted investments
A starting point for the relevant laws are NY RSSL § 177 and BANK § 235, the latter of which has a specific careveout for State of Israel bonds in subsection 28-a
