"SpaceX declined to provide more Falcon launches"
scoop: SpaceX declined to offer Falcon for three future Space Force missions, and no other company offered to fly them either — an early sign of the launch crunch politico.com/news/2026/10/22…
I don't actually like this change, I thought half the point of & AirBnB over a traditional hotel is that it feels like a home, & the host passes down the savings
You do or don't chores, but that margin is reflected in the price & listing, I don't get why that isn't an option?
Airbnb hosts are melting down over a new policy banning them from making guests complete tasks that “would typically be performed by a cleaner,” like “stripping the bed, taking trash offsite, or washing and putting away dishes.”

"Mercedes to launch their A to B Automated Driving system in Stuttgart and Munich at the end of 2026 to limited users following a general release in H1 2027"
The sheer fear in Jensen's eyes man he's seen some shit
This is also js a really fun development model to work w/ now that Opus & Co can take the busywork out of the actual reverse engineering bits
Emulate (most) of the game logic, intercept graphics, just rewrite the bits that don't quite comply w/ the new hardware, QoL tweaks, tada
Still,ab solutely insane how (according to leaked numbers) js a few yrs back Spiderman Remastered cost ~$2.3 mil to port to PC, ~$4.6 mil for the planned SM2 port, even in the 360 era a decent 3rd party port was ~$500k at least
& now, w/o any source whatsoever, its <$200. Of course its not a real 'port' but if we were porting a game from a modern console &/or had direct access to the source hooking into static recompilation wouldn't be necessary

I guess literally anything passes for journalism
Wow compute isn't included w/ software? Tell me more! This has never occurred before in the history of computing!
like, FSD was said to be done by '16, after mobileye forcefully cut them off, 10yrs later & their perception stack still wasn't done, timelines drawn out by entirely self inflicted struggles
& still, despite their insistence against (rapidly depreciating) lidar, proper mapping for years, they have not just largely done it but largely ahead of the others
Yes, it certainly helps that GM is an incumbent & preferred to largely shutter cruise, & that the other competitor is Waymo
Yes, if you compare to eastern brands, its less favorable, & it could have been a more favorable had they gone w/ common sense
But, globally as an L2++ system & locally as an L3 system, it works
Can hate his character all day but there is absolutely no-one on this earth that has the combination of sheer determination & financing ability as Elon Musk
Its just constantly completely absurd what his work culture can accomplish while simultaneously satisfying his every (insane) whim
Its like this living epitome of the American way, musk is far from the first to take advantage of our absurdly deep & liquid cap markets + run a lean workplace that was every startup at some point, Huang, Zuck, etc.
but none have so consistently achieved (in?)organic dominance w/ as consistently terrible fundamentals as Musk. &, somehow, it all works out well in the end

To be clear, if there were an AV company w/ better fundamentals & similar/less complacency than Tesla I would support them instead likely
And In the east, thats arguably already the case, but at least for the US, there is no-one but Musk
& even in the east, Tesla is able to lightly keep up while the europeans drop like flies

Issue w/ modern Ferrari's is purely that there should never be any room for debate on anything w/ a prancing horse
It should look good on a poster, in person, it should have *something* for everyone to enjoy. Its why its a status symbol, can't nitpick a 458
If you have to ask..
Like top gear featured the 458 something like a dozen times over the yrs. Each & every time desperately comparing it to whatever alternative they could find
& each and every time they would come back to the studio & universally agree you'd be dump to purchase anything but a 458
They had the 430, GTO, 997 3RS, SLS, R8, 12C, at minimum you should not have to debate that the latest Ferrari isn't the greatest

Went to sleep to wake up to this, What an absolutely useless operating system, idiotic defaults
to think valve even remotely suggests the steam <x> products double as development machines
Replying to @shaurizard
now hitting ~60fps average, still w/ <30 1% lows but like we're getting there guys EoD for sure
