tiktok pro tip for those doing apps:
instead of grabbing images from random people on pinterest, create cute art work (using ai)
viewers won't call you out for fake advertising or using ai for that matter as comic stuff is super hard to identify as ai
it's also much more trustworthy to look at when someone's not aware of your page
and finally, people will have a much easier time remembering you
ChatGPT makes an estimated $130M a month on the App Store. Claude ~$40M, Perplexity ~$7M
All 3 run Meta ads now, and each one is going after a different person
ChatGPT: 5,459 ads live, for everyday people
- older people, small business owners, simple daily tasks
- 6 of them tell one story: two blind brothers who run their nonprofit with ChatGPT
Claude: 388 ads live, for builders
- 13 of the top 27 link to "The Problem Solvers", videos of founders like Anton Osika (Lovable) and Michael Truell (Cursor)
- 9 link to the Sonnet 5.5 launch page
Perplexity: 498 ads live, for people who want an assistant
- 29 of the top 30 sell Computer, their agent
- one says "20+ AI models run your Shopify store"
- 23 skip the website and open the app straight on Computer
ChatGPT runs 6x more ads than the other 2 combined.
Claude and Perplexity sell to people who already use AI, ChatGPT sells to everyone else

someone asked me what I think about the payout change in light of the newsletter brand we are building
AND I’M PUMPED
first of all, this will hopefully wash out tons of people who simply came for the creator payouts
X was always just a channel for the newsletter to get subs
plus, we wanted an outlet to share many of the nuggets we otherwise don’t have the capacity to show on our personal accounts
the plan was always to monetize the newsletter via subscriptions, brand deals, ads, and cross-promote our main thing @genviral_
and because X now pushes original content even more, plus again less competition hopefully, we can also experiment with video and not just text commentary
good bye spammers 🙂
Today, we’re launching Original Content Rewards.
The reality is that Revenue Sharing had reached a point where its incentives were misaligned. Creators should be focused on bringing net new content to the platform instead of maximizing payouts. We could have kept adding more rules and exceptions, but ultimately the better decision was to start fresh and build a program designed from day one to reward originality.
Original Content Rewards is the result.
This program is built around a simple idea: reward the creators who bring original ideas, expertise, creativity, and unique perspectives to 𝕏 -- not those who have become best at gaming the system.
This is just the beginning. We’ll continue refining the program, improving our models, and raising the bar over time. But we’re so excited to keep investing in the creators who inform us, entertain us, make us laugh, teach us something new, and drive meaningful conversations on 𝕏 every day.
To everyone who creates original content on 𝕏 and makes this a better platform every day: thank you. We’re excited to keep building for you.

not surprising @brianshinsh reached $1m arr with his app in less than a year
his slideshow game is absolutely top notch
here's the format he is running across dozens of accounts:
first slide is the emotional trigger to make the user stop scrolling
almost all of the accounts then feature a crying woman looking straight into the camera
this makes it look more personable since it almost looks like a selfie that was taken
from there, he simply describes the app and what it takes to get started with it
and this, consequently, is the genius of both this format and his app:
because the app idea is so inherently viral, merely describing how to use it is almost enough
consequently, this won't work if you are building commodity type apps
what's more, the format already primes the buyer on what to expect when using the app, which will further boost adoption, usage, as well as overall user experience
just goes to show much how a powerful idea executed well can take you
