if taeny really loved each other romantically, wouldn't taeyeon have a reason to hold on to tiffany instead of simply letting the woman she loved fall in love with another man, marry him, and build a life with him? and if tiffany truly loved taeyeon in that way, wouldn't she have chosen taeyeon instead of choosing someone else and marrying him? but somehow, when reality doesn't fit the ship, some of you just keep rewriting reality. tiffany is already married. taeyeon and tiffany can love each other deeply, care about each other, and have an incredibly special bond without being a romantic couple. that's not difficult to understand. what's actually difficult to understand is the double standard. some of you dismiss taengsic because you think the old "they hated each other" narrative makes them impossible, while simultaneously romanticizing taeny despite reality having already moved forward. that's the double standard i don't understand. taengsic doesn't have to be obvious to you to exist as a dynamic. if you've never actually paid attention to them beyond that old "they hated each other" narrative, of course you won't see what people who've been observing them for years have noticed. you don't have to believe that taengsic is romantic. you don't even have to ship them. but acting like their dynamic is nonexistent simply because it doesn't fit the old narrative is just another form of projection. they're real people, not characters you can keep rewriting just to make your ship work. tiffany is married. taeyeon is living her own life. jessica is living hers. maybe it's time to remember that none of them have to fit the story you've created in your head. maybe the hardest thing to accept isn't that your ship might be wrong. it's that reality doesn't always match the story you created in your head.
