There are no DCU movies currently in production! Man of Tomorrow is the last confirmed one. How crazy is that

Ngl Hasbro has always been weird because when it comes to this franchise because they don’t know what they want

u/Georgieiskewl on Reddit got to meet Daniel Warren Johnson during a convention where DWJ mention how it sucked to work for Hasbro during his run on Transformers, the Deer scene almost didn't make it in and when asked if he would return, DWJ said no because of Hasbro.

I can see being Deadshot because bloodsport had some elements of deadshot’s character more that deathstroke
Eon1 (@Eon1Eno) profile pictureEon1@Eon1EnoOct 30
So Deathstroke was supposed to lead The Suicide Squad, and James Gunn wanted Idris Elba to play him, after he turned down playing Deadshot. Joe Manganiello called James Gunn and asked him to not use DS, and Gunn honored his wish.

James Gunn changed the label of the DCU once again. First reported to be a “complete reboot”, then a “new continuity” featuring only characters from movies and shows Gunn directed himself, now he's labeling the DCU as an “alternate universe” where not every new movie is canon.
