How precisely is this helping Britain @andyburnham @Ed_Miliband? While you’re on a jolly to give away more of our money, we’re struggling to pay bills, businesses are going to the wall and people are living on the streets. Shame on you both.

Hopelessly incompetent Do we have two more years of this ?
A car crash interview from Angela Eagle, “the lesser of two Eagles”. Labour’s big announcement today is the introduction of eight new regional water councils, but the Environment Secretary can’t even explain what powers they’ll actually have. Additionally, which areas will each one cover? Who will lead them? How will membership of these councils be selected? When will they be established? Who will they answer to? Etc, etc… Another shambolic announcement from a Government which loves a headline, but has zero detail to back it up.

Mate, you're a local councillor in Birmingham. You have a bankrupt city, a bin strike & residents needing your help with crucial stuff the council has responsibility for - housing, social care, SEND etc This should be a warning to the UK of what a left-wing coalition looks like. – at Featherstone, England
My maiden speech! We passed what we wanted but more importantly we passed what Birmingham wanted. And silencing reform always has its own happiness 😂 YOUR councillor Raihaan Abbas

My mother would have used the term ‘shouting like a fishwife!’
It was like watching a hungry seagull try to lecture on metaphysics. Despite her obvious lack of ability, Haigh still trotted out stock insults aimed at her opposite number. At one point she suggested that Alex Burghart shouldn't read out his questions, before reading out her answers (and not answering his questions). In fact, I got the sense that Burghart was being gentlemanly in his reticence to go in for the kill: had Labour put up an open can of sardines in the bottom of a barrel, it would have been a less obvious target than Haigh. But if anything, his stoic demeanour seemed to rile her further. Burghart's questions were mostly about benefits. He highlighted the fact that the bill was higher now than it had been even during Covid. Again and again Haigh – who yelled like an unlikeable landlady – insisted that the bill was coming down without explaining in any way how it would do so. ✍️ Madeline Grant Article | spectator.com/article/louise… | @Madz_Grant

Of the more than 760,000 people who came to Britain on the Health & Care visa, more than 470,000 were relatives. They will now all be allowed to stay in Britain. Forever. While claiming benefits, council housing, student loans, and more. mattgoodwin.org/p/shabana-ma…

She was awful. Sounded like a screeching ninny. Convicted fraudster who shouldn’t be anywhere near political office let alone on the front bench.
