โ€œIndefinite Leave to Remain means you can live on benefits for the rest of your lifeโ€ says Nigel Farage Imagine his shock when he finds out just 2.8% of UC claimants have been granted indefinite leave to remain
The comments made by @Nigel_Farage about Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) are complete bull****! The ยฃ200bn figure he uses has no basis in reality and is unsupported by any reliable data - and he knows it. If UK news shows wonโ€™t call this boll**** out letโ€™s do it ourselves

The reason people are raging about Burnham appearing on Gogglebox to support a cancer charity is because they hate him coming across as personable. Some even take the piss out of his northern accent. Nige and Rupes thought theyโ€™d nailed the man of the people market.

There seems to be a direct correlation between how badly Trump is doing and how often he abuses a reporter (invariably a woman) for asking a perfectly legitimate question. And it feels heโ€™s losing his shit more and more often, which suggests things are getting worse and worse
๐ŸšจNEW: Donald Trump lashes out at NBC reporter: Q: Do the sexual allegations mean nothing to you? Trump: โ€œQUIET! Isnโ€™t she a fresh person? Youโ€™re a horrible little reporter.โ€ (The reporter who press Trump on the sexual allegations was @albamonica)

Reminder that before INEOS came in & Neville got exclusive interviews with Jim Ratcliffe & brought in to work & advise on the new stadium project, Gary Neville had no issue calling the glazers out. Conveniently, heโ€™d rather twist Martinezโ€™ words.
"That is a direct criticim of his players!" ๐Ÿ‘€ Gary and the team react to Lisandro Martinez's comments about Manchester United! ๐Ÿ”ด

Me: "Excuse me, why was I moved to seat 41C?" Me: "I paid for 3A." Gate Agent: "A group needed to sit together." Me: "So you gave them my seat?" Gate Agent: "It was the quickest fix." Me: "Without asking me?" Gate Agent: "The train was already running late." Me: "41C is a middle seat." Gate Agent: "We appreciate your patience." Me: "I didn't agree to this." Passenger: "You're really making a scene over a seat?" Me: "I paid extra for that seat." Passenger: "It's only a few hours." Me: "Then why didn't you offer yours?" Passenger: "That's different." Gate Agent: "Ma'am, please keep your voice down." Me: "I'm speaking normally. I just want the seat I bought." Gate Agent: "The group is already settled." Me: "Then who approved giving away my booking?" Gate Agent: "It was a service decision." Me: "So paying extra doesn't guarantee you keep what you paid for?" Gate Agent: "Sometimes we have to make exceptions." Me: "Do exceptions come with refunds?" Gate Agent: "You can contact customer support afterward." Me: "Afterward? The service I paid for is happening right now." Passenger: "Just let the group enjoy their trip." Me: "I'm not blaming them. I'm asking why I'm the one paying for the company's decision." Gate Agent: "There's nothing more I can do." Me: "Can I have that in writing?" Gate Agent: "Why would you need that?" Me: "Because I want it documented that my paid seat was reassigned without my consent." Then the whole carriage went quiet. Another Passenger: "That happened to me last month too." Another Passenger: "Me too." The gate agent looked toward her supervisor. For the first time, nobody had an answer.

๐Ÿ‡พ๐Ÿ‡ช The Greenhoff Brothers ๐Ÿ‡พ๐Ÿ‡ช There's a version of history where none of it happens. Where a November storm in 1976 passes over Stoke without doing much damage, the Victoria Ground roof stays intact, and two brothers from Barnsley never get to share the greatest afternoon of their lives together at Wembley. Stoke sold Jimmy mid-season because they needed ยฃ250,000 to repair their ground after a powerful windstorm ripped through it. He was their most beloved player having scored almost a century of goals for them since 1969. He refused to leave. Until the phone rang. Sir Matt Busby had called the club personally, asking "Is it right you're selling Jimmy Greenhoff?" and that was enough to change everything. The idea that Sir Matt had picked up the phone on his behalf that settled it immediately. Jimmy joined Tommy Docherty's United in November 1976 for ยฃ120,000. An absolute bargain. What often gets forgotten is how decorated Jimmy already was before he pulled on a red shirt. He'd won the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup with Leeds in 1968 and the League Cup with Stoke in 1972. A volley against Birmingham in December 1974 was voted ITV's Goal of the Season. He was 30 when he signed for United, and in many ways at the very peak of his craft. And waiting for him at Old Trafford was his younger brother. Brian had been there since 1968, signed as a youth player by the legendary scout Joe Armstrong, the man who had also spotted Bobby Charlton and Duncan Edwards. He'd had to be patient too. His debut didn't come until September 1973. But once Docherty saw what he had, Brian was rarely out of the side. Upon first greeting him, Tommy said: "I've got you at last. The long way round, but I've got you at last." Brian had frankly admitted as a child that he hero-worshipped Jimmy, who had preceded him through local teams as both brothers worked towards professional careers, urged on by their father who was their most demanding supporter. Now they were teammates. For Brian, it must have felt like the world had arranged itself perfectly. Brian's United career to that point had already been quietly remarkable. He played in every single outfield position for the club, and even went in goal once when Alex Stepney was injured at Birmingham City. He'd been named Supporters Player of the Season in 1973โ€“74, the very year United were relegated. He had played well enough in a struggling team to win the fans' hearts anyway. And there is a photograph from the 1976 FA Cup Final, Brian in tears after Southampton beat United, consoled by Docherty, that tells you everything about how deeply he cared. He walked back to the hotel and threw his loser's medal across the room, telling his wife he'd wait for a winners' medal next year. He was as good as his word. By the time Jimmy arrived, Brian had formed a famous defensive partnership with Martin Buchan, his blond locks flying as he set up the wide men Steve Coppell and Gordon Hill in counter-attack. Martin Buchan later described Jimmy's arrival in terms that still resonate: "Jimmy Greenhoff, in a way, was our Eric Cantona, he nurtured the young kids. He calmed things down. He had a great understanding with Stuart Pearson, and I always felt if I had the ball at my feet in the back four, I could close my eyes and play it forward and either Stuart or Jimmy would be on the end of it." In February 1977, Jimmy scored a hat-trick against Newcastle with the whole ground chanting his name, and becoming the first United player to score three in a game in almost three years. Then came Wembley. 1/2 #JimmyGreenhoff #BrianGreenhoff #ManchesterUnited

Idiot Philp is too stupid to understand that Thatcher sold it off!! He is laughing stock... except it is no laughing matter.
Britain should be producing more of its own oil and gas, not relying on imports from overseas. Labour has wasted time delaying Jackdaw. Now it must approve Rosebank and issue new North Sea drilling licences. We need to strengthen our energy security, protect British jobs and keep tax revenues here in the UK.

Never pay a parking charge without considering if it can be enforced. It often canโ€™t.
Anyone else just seen Parking: Why Are We Paying So Much? with @PaulBrandITV? Easiest way to cancel a Parking Charge Notice (invoice - not a fine) is to speak to the landowner to bypass the flawed appeals process. A 1 min overstay falls under the grace period & should be cancelled at the first stage, along with minor keying errors. They usually are not because parking operators are using AI to manipulate the back-end decision making to reject AI assisted appeals and other factors like minor keying errors without looking at the evidence. Everything announced by the UK Govt @AngelaRayner @andyburnham already exists in the self-authored Single Code of Practice that parking operators subscribe to and routinely ignore without any consequences. I took part in the Governmentโ€™s consultation. Some changes are welcome, but new rules are meaningless if operators can ignore the existing ones without effective accountability. The sooner this industry is held properly to account, the better. #PrivateParking #ConsumerRights #ITVTonight @raymasseytweets @YTimesMotoring @TealeVroom @SteveFowler @TedWelford @TheAA_UK @racfoundation

Ranvir Singh this morning: "9 million people in the UK, I find it obscene, in 2026 are on the verge of or already using foodbanks" Meanwhile the richest 50 families have more wealth than half the population. The levels of inequality in this country are staggering.
"Almost 9m people.. are at risk of needing a food bank.. that includes 2.9m children.. 1 in 5 people saying there household has run out of food & couldn't afford to buy more.." As one food bank user explains: "The gap between what we earn & what we need is ever increasing" #GMB
