That looks eerily like the colour of smoke from when the transporter ship blew up in Beirut 2020. Was carrying fertiliser.
Given my big University dissertation was about Brookside so pleased to see it briefly back - Sinbad, Billy Corkhill, Barry Grant, Tinhead, Sheila and Bobby. Even Phil Redmond 😍🥲

Quite liking the fact there's multiple people streaming the Oasis gig on TikTok while the BBC are doing a live stream outside the actual venue and not the gig itself.
Strange new world.
She’s watching from the right hand side of stage..
I think she was pretty central to Treasure Hunt becoming the hit it became. Previous adjuicators had been pretty stern, she brought fun and life into the studio end to match that of Anneka Rice.

Biggest audiovisual spectacle of the year #Eurovision2025 is still in stereo, in 1080 HD (likely interlaced), in SDR and Rec.709. This event just screams for HDR, WCG and Dolby Atmos, if not 4K. Opinion piece I wrote 6 months ago, so far without effect 🙁

The Smiths on BBC4’s Rock Goes To College is fascinating. You can’t imagine the Beeb sending a camera crew to a small venue and capturing a moment in time anymore like it did weekly in the 70s and 80s. It’s all about the big gigs and festivals these days.

Watching this clip (from a TV show which I probably saw first time round on a massive CRT telly in the living room) on my phone. My phone is more powerful and has larger on board memory than any of the computers on display. RIP Chris Serle, with love from the future.

Other photos show a “BBC World” artic truck. Something which almost 100% is not a real thing…so certainly some kind of filming for drama..but no residents seem to have been warned..
Me too - it’s really intrusive and over large.
