If sanctions on Russian oil have been lifted because of the war in the Middle East, will the U.S. sanctions be reimposed now that there is a ceasefire? I think that an answer to this question will expose the reason for lifting sanctions in the first place. We just need to wait and see.
In my view, Russia played the Americans again – played the President of the United States. The Russians lied about the role their oil supplies played in keeping oil markets stable. If the U.S. reimposes sanctions, that would be fair. But if it doesn’t…
We heard that Russia wanted Americans to buy certain energy assets in Europe belonging to Lukoil. I ask myself, “If I want to sell sanctioned energy assets, what do I do?” I come up with a scheme to lift sanctions. How else could I sell it?

Russia wants to reset Finland's NATO membership - Lavrov addressed his words directly to Finland’s FM Valtonen.
Russia’s demands for "security" apply not only to Ukraine but also elsewhere in Europe and the NATO defence alliance, as well as to Finland and Sweden, by seeking to reset Finland's and Sweden's recent NATO memberships and demanding a return to the situation of 1997.

Today in Ukraine is Dignity and Freedom Day. It commemorates the beginning of the Orange Revolution of 2004 and the Revolution of Dignity of 2013, when millions of Ukrainians took to protests to defend the right of the people to determine their own future. Some – at the cost of their own lives.
Today, amid Russia’s full-scale war, Ukrainians continue to protect the same values, at the core of which are dignity and freedom, courage, responsibility, human rights, and democracy.
This day reminds us of the power of unity and solidarity. Moscow has tried for centuries to suppress Ukraine’s will, yet Ukrainians have always risen again to defend their dignity and freedom.
We honour the contributions of generations of Ukrainians who defended the right to live in a free country. And we remember those who gave their lives for this cause.
Today we thank everyone who has defended and continues to defend a free, European future for Ukraine.
