Ex-Tory MP Peter Gibson takes a swipe at those defecting to Reform UK.
He tells me on @bbc5live:
"Every single day there's somebody says to me, when are you doing it? Why haven't you gone yet? You'd stand a far better chance in getting back if you stood for Reform.
"And what I say to those people is, 'do you really want politicians who simply jump on the latest bandwagon in order to ensure that their careers can continue regardless of which flag they are flying?'
"I've been a member of the Conservative Party since I was 16 years of age. I have been through some dark, miserable times. I've seen elections lost and elections won and there is a real important part of our politics... and that's loyalty and commitment and adherence to a set of principles and values. So Matt, I won't be jumping ship anytime soon."

Unlike China, Israel is our ally and a democracy. A good Foreign Sec would be able to make that distinction.
Perhaps Labour MPs could put UK national interest first and do their jobs instead of campaigning for airports in Kashmir or promoting Hamas propaganda in parliament.
.@KemiBadenoch it’s disgraceful you are cheerleading another country for detaining and deporting two British MPs. Do you say the same about Tory MPs banned from China?
This government will continue to stand up for the rights of our MPs to speak their mind, whatever their party.

Without a total reworking of asylum legislation, we will never end illegal migration. Destination countries need to work together on third-country solutions and proper economic development schemes of countries who accept migrants.
Keir Starmer and Labour won't go near this.

Gilts still at a higher rate that after the mini budget, and continuing to spike. FTSE100, 250 and AIM all down today. Markets digesting sluggish growth despite huge tax burden and very little spending or reform to show for it. Getting little coverage today in non-business media

A year on from the 7th October terrorist attacks, it’s disgraceful that antisemitism is higher than ever.
We must never forget the victims or give into the vile terrorism that murdered them.
I was pleased to speak to @Nanaakua1 on @GBNEWS this afternoon
'The antisemitism, the anti-Israel rhetoric has only increased.'
Chairman of the Young National Jewish Assembly, Michael Rowe, says the Jewish community is 'still in a state of shock' one year on from the October 7th attacks.

The last time @AVFCOfficial won in the top European competition, it was the month before I was born. Let’s hope tonight is the first step towards another European adventure!
My thoughts this evening are also with Villa legend Gary Shaw’s friends and family following his passing yesterday.

Ed Miliband’s net zero world is becoming clearer. In his zealous pursuit of unachievable targets, no amount of destruction is enough. North Sea oil and gas industry destroyed. Family heating bills higher. Pensioners left without support through a cold winter. All while he gets to jet off to South America to play the big climate saving hero.
