I made a prototype of an idea I've had kicking about since I was in uni and tried to create it in flash. What if ui elements built up patina as they're used, like in the real world? Grime builds up, bits get worn. Try it out dirty-buttons.vercel.app/ You can even wipe it clean.

Soundmen in bars need to understand that just because the volume can go to 10 doesn't mean it needs to.

Oooft. New gumtree app was definitely driven more by making ad revenue and egos than actual user needs. Can't find any info I need at a top level without drilling into items.

I didn't read many "Design Trends for 2019" posts, but here's what I wish the trends were: 1. Usability 2. Accessibility 3. Not worrying about design trends until the things you're working on are usable and accessible

If you don't think #accessibility or #inclusion is important, just try and brush your teeth with your non-dominant hand.

Replying to @johncutlefish
For UX to work organically with software products, designers need to be involved with the product planning. No amount of design systems will help when the business pushes an exploitative and unethical model and insists that it be made palatable to "users".
