🚨 Davinson Sánchez on the fight involving Roland Sallai and Kerem Aktürkoğlu after the final whistle: 🎙️ Interviewer: “Davinson, the final whistle brought chaos. Players from both teams became involved, and police had to enter the pitch. What happened out there? Davinson Sánchez: “This is not an ordinary game. Everyone knows what this derby means. The pressure is unbelievable, the emotions are intense, and nobody wants to lose. We had just beaten our biggest rivals, and the atmosphere was already electric. But football has to remain football, even when the emotions are running high.” “I will always defend my teammates. Always. These guys fight beside me every week, and I will never pretend that their feelings don’t matter to me. But defending your family doesn’t mean you should lose control. There is a difference between standing up for your badge and allowing your emotions to make decisions for you.” “I’m proud of this team for winning 2–1, and I’m proud of the fight we showed during the match. But the headlines should have been about Victor Osimhen scoring twice and Galatasaray earning a massive victory. Instead, everyone is talking about what happened after the whistle. That’s frustrating because we worked so hard to win this game.” Interviewer: “Some fans say these confrontations are part of derby football. Do you agree? Davinson Sánchez: “Passion is part of football. Intimidation, pushing and losing control should never become the main story. We can compete fiercely for 90 minutes and still understand that the final whistle has to mean something.”
