PlaqueBoyMax’s Rising Star show having tana is unfair to the guys with under 50k followers or listeners Tana is well known. Gotta keep ppl in the same range to not have a bias.

So you admit to platforming chicago trauma to get to where you were.. now that you are actually in a position to use your found influence to grow the genre you exploit.. you’d rather keep dickeating the one artist you dick eat cause you make more money. Well YOU ARE NOT HIPHOP MEDIA. NIGGA YOU ARE DRAKE MEDIA.
🚨 Akademiks explains why he’d rather cover DRAKE than discover new rappers and how the media is playing a role in hip-hop’s decline. Ak says his controversial “War in Chiraq” coverage helped turn Chicago drill rappers into STARS by telling their stories and making fans invested in their lives. “Nobody ever stops to think the influence of drill is because we told those stories.” He admits covering Drake brings bigger numbers and less backlash than promoting upcoming artists, but acknowledges that this approach is HURTING HIP-HOP. “If I talk about Drake, I’m gonna make a million. If I talk about this kid, maybe I make 500,000.” Ak then sends a message to upcoming hip-hop media personalities, telling them they need to discover their OWN artists, tell their stories and help introduce the next generation of stars. “You’re NEVER going to get on by covering Drake when I’m covering Drake. You need to find your Chief Keef in 2012.”

Not a single Drake fan is checking for Akademiks’ opinion before pressing play on a Drake album. Never have, never will. AK is not the gatekeeper of Drake’s catalogue. His opinion has absolutely zero influence on whether people listen to Drake. Before the beef, after the beef, during the beef, nobody is checking in with that man. Please, let’s get serious.
Poetik Flakko thinks that Drake needed Akademiks to stay afloat after the beef @birrrdieofc

Poetic Flakko had a terrible take on drake needing Ak in 2024. Drakes fanbase is primarily women they have no idea who Ak even is or dont like him. Drake by no means needed and Akademics cosign for his career.

In My Personal Opinion, I Don’t Think Anyone That Was Never On Should Ridicule or Dictate When Someone “Fell Off” Because At Their “Worst” They Can Still Being Doing Better Than You At Your Best. That’s Like Speaking On Feelings You Never Felt Before.

Seen people being weird about this song & “the state of hip hop”. All I hear is a clear theme, lingo, and call & response. Elements that have always been present in the music. This is definitely hip hop and ain’t nothing wrong with it.

Akademiks going a too hard on his anti-lil baby narrative at this point. Based on the numbers it was never factual but there was a small moment in time where he could spin certain things to make it sound viable. At this point tho dude is consistently doing damn near 100M streams a week and has a current top 40 record. U can’t argue with that.

Twitter is full of people who act like they've never made a mistake, inconvenienced anyone, or fallen short. Everyone claims to extend grace, especially to children, and act like they've always made the right decisions. Then you look at the real world and can't help but shake

Jay-Z is the biggest example of how black people don't appreciate a damn thing. He takes over position of booking music artist for the Super Bowl so now we actually get young, hip and culturally relevant artists instead of washed up artists from other genres and all people do is complain.

Welcome to Twitter where Michael Jordan isn't the goat, Martin TV show was not funny, Jay-Z is and has always been an irrelevant rapper and Eddie Murphy was never funny.

Gen Z has produced the worst music and the least amount of stars in music history. There is no 24 year old music star right now. Shit Youngboy 27 now. It’s because none of yall grew up listening to anything older than yourselves. The past gives you a future.
24 year old says Rakim isn't a Top 10 rapper anymore and the older generation refuses to let go of everyone they loved growing up. Do you agree with him or is this take disrespectful to hip hop?
