Beyoncé's dad Mathew Knowles says Farrah Franklin walked away from $50 million because he "got loud" with her.
With Destiny's Child back together on stage at Jay-Z's show, this old clip is making the rounds again.
Farrah joined the group and was gone about 6 months later.
Her side: she was 18, fresh out of the hospital with dehydration, and Mathew, who managed the group, got loud with her. Her father had a problem with it too.
In 2019, Mathew heard that version on VladTV. He wasn't buying it.
"She didn't say that I cursed her. She didn't say I made any type of innuendo… She said something as much as I got loud."
Then came the line he'll be remembered for:
"Somebody left a group, left 50 million dollars on the table because Mathew Knowles got loud with them."
He even joked he'd better not get loud with Vlad, or he "might offend" him.
His version also has Michelle Williams telling him Farrah was sneaking out to nightclubs, and a performance Farrah never showed up for.
Watch him laugh it off.
A mistreated 18-year-old, or a $50 million mistake?

My sister Tasha Smith know she's looking fab. I love the undeniable confidence and focus of her person. #FanGirl @tashasmithreal @tashasmith4real
I've met Ms Hubert. She really is a kind lady!!! What happened between them was unfortunate but this made for TV reconciliation was beautiful.🙏🏿🥰
Will Smith's TV aunt was making about $250,000 a year. In 1993, she lost all of it. Will went on the radio and said she'd gone "from a quarter of a million dollars a year to nothing."
She had a newborn baby at home. She didn't speak to him for 27 years.
In the video below, Janet Hubert finally says it to his face: "You took all that away from me with your words."
In 1993, she was offered a new contract. About two and a half months of work a year, less money, and no other jobs allowed.
Her husband was out of work. She says the marriage was abusive. She said no.
The new season opened with a joke. Jazz said something was different about Aunt Viv since she had the baby.
On that Atlanta radio show, Will added: "She's mad now, but she's been mad all along."
The word that followed her was "difficult." For a Black woman in Hollywood, she says, it's "the kiss of death." She says she lost "everything. Reputation, everything."
The case for Will: he was in his early 20s, carrying his first show. The contract came from the producers, not from him. And she turned it down.
27 years later, he told her: "The person I want to be is someone who protects you, not someone that unleashes dogs on you."
He went on to make $20 million per movie. She waited 28 years for her next recurring TV role.
So did Will Smith ruin Aunt Viv's career, or did she ruin it herself?

ms. howard was right when she told her to cover her body. these children are still so young and innocent, they deserve to enjoy their childhood without being exposed to things they’re not old enough to understand. it hurts seeing adults forget how precious a child’s innocence is.
