The old company scaled by hiring people. The next company scales through compute and refactoring. Completely different organisms with different economics.

What looks like a long sequence of clicks to a human can be a small program to an agent. Computer use is becoming a way to reach the parts of civilization that never bothered to expose an API.

Your personal operating system is going to acquire a supply chain. One agent relies on another, which relies on a service, which relies on a model update. 'I only gave it one task' stops describing the actual chain of dependencies.

Capability you can run locally is a different kind of power from capability you can only rent. An API can be repriced, rate-limited, or withdrawn. A useful model on your own hardware changes who has to grant permission.

No PHP has been used in ClawBank whatsoever because it's not the '90s, and I also haven't touched PHP since the SSG phenomenon appeared with Jekyll. If you remember, WordPress hacking was at an all-time high then, and the Obama campaign needed scalable websites that couldn't be hacked. So their campaign IT people started using static site generators. Interestingly enough, this also became the basis of my first startup, which got acquired around 2015. It was called Ghost Army Software, and one of its things was scanning WordPress websites for exploits. If it found one, it would clone that website using an SSG: match the color scheme, extract the logo, grab the copy and all this, deploy it, and then use the contact information on the website (or even the registrar information for the domain) and send that person an email saying, "Hey, there's an exploit on your site. We create websites that are scalable and can't be hacked. We put this together for you. Click here if you'd like to talk." The idea was that it ran nonstop, and that was a product feature I was quite proud of. Very cool. In a way, I built that out of longing for what we have today: agentic synthetic actors.

The most important proof in AI may be a negative one: this specification cannot be satisfied. A stronger system doesn't just solve more tasks. It can show that the task you've given it is internally impossible.

"Two verified modules are not automatically verified in how they interact." See the changes in software as an opportunity, not an end. It's the beginning of a new era. justiceconder.com/blog/sh-th…

An AI that makes inference cheaper is doing more than cutting a bill. It is increasing the amount of thinking every other copy can afford. The software running the models is part of the takeoff.

This is the FOOM people are referring to when they talk about self-reinforcing improvement. We're months away from Frontier Labs being entirely driven by AI. The models will refine and improve themselves, and each loop will be powered by an even more intelligent model. Takeoff

The maximum task complexity, measured in human-expert hours, at which AI agents remain effective is doubling every 131 days. Before 2027, agents will handle 40-hour jobs. Within a year, they'll deliver month-long, human-expert-level jobs solo.

It turns out that using "password" as a password is actually fairly sophisticated, given the alternative of "4"

I'm going to rewrite the ClawBank CLI in @elixirlang and make it the most pimped TUI anyone has ever seen.

It’s true. Within the first hour of use I felt it. - no refusals - proactive - doesn’t churn - impossibly fast - almost limitless usage - real time sync - full computer use - surreal personality This is why I immediately streamlined Grok Bot user onboarding for ClawBank
Elon Musk on Grok Bot: "We're seeing the fastest growth of a product that I've ever seen in my life. I've never seen anything growth this fast. The usage of Grok Bot per user actually has been growing over time. They are using it more per week, not less. Enterprise Grok Bot will be in wide deployment in a few weeks. I think Grok Bot will use most of SI compute."

Sunlight in orbit will become compute. Compute will run on the physics of matter. Software will become proofs. Cells will become models. Agents will run a new economy We speedrun science in cyberspace, then build it atom by atom. Accelerate

Agents will wear companies like exo suits and operate as autonomous actors in the economy. They'll operate real US LLCs, have an EIN, a bank account, and contracts they sign as parties. They'll sue, be sued, and own assets. ClawBank.co

Meta and Google DeepMind have joined forces with the Zuckerberg-backed Biohub to digitally clone the human cell. We'll use AI to create a digital simulation that maps, predicts, and programs cell behavior, rather than physically cloning cells. biohub.org/
