We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence. block.xyz/dessa

When I ask another founder how things are going, I don’t want to dwell on what’s going right. We’re problem solvers, let’s discuss what’s going wrong. Perhaps we are sitting on each other’s breakthroughs.

I don’t mind people vibe coding stuff, but just get it checked out by a professional if it handles customer data. Ideally before making accessible.

Q: How do we end corruption in Africa?

I don’t think people are giving enough credit to @github. Have you seen how many people brag about pushing dozens of PRs per day lately? People who never coded before.

If you want to know how heavily subsidized @claudeai packages are, try running Claude code via the console API key 😬

Introducing Microsoft-Decision-1, our new model for fast decision-making. It delivers top performance on structured decision tasks, outperforming both LLMs and other decision models in latency and quality. We’re already testing it across Microsoft for everything from incident response and quality control to scientific discovery.

Yikes. Anthropic becoming what Google wishes to be 😬
Claude Dashboards and Claude Motion are in beta today. Ask Claude to turn your data into live dashboards and your ideas into animated explainers.

Sometimes we use our peers’ progress as a yardstick for where we should be. We seldom look back at where we came from relative to where we are. At times I look around the room and get one of those: “How the hell did I make it here?” moments. You are here, be grateful, kip going

At my early job, my senior sent me :(){:|:&};: to run on my terminal to make a point that I’d become too dependent. I had defaulted to just asking him for the right Linux commands to use instead of doing my own research. So, a couple of suspicious reboots later, it clicked 😂

Okay I’m not smart enough to understand what this means. I get the million suns mass part, but what is the edge of space and time? Edge of the observable universe?

This could be big 😮
Claude has discovered a previously unknown enzyme system hidden in the DNA of bacteriophages. Beside the enzyme’s gene sits a long array of repeating DNA—a structure that looks somewhat similar to CRISPR. We don’t yet understand what this system does, but only a handful of known systems share its features, and all of them are able to cut, copy, and paste DNA. Historically, the discovery of such programmable systems has helped revolutionize medicine. CRISPR, for instance, is now the foundation of genetic medicines. But it will take much more work to learn what this system does, and whether it can be put to similar use. Read more: anthropic.com/news/claude-di…

Why do people insist on comparing @typesafeai Jev with LLMs? Jev is a classifier with no reasoning capacity. Did I miss something?
Local Laya moggs Jev at @grok 4.7-built Tetris 🧩 An open-weights System One model called Laya, beat cloud-based Jev at playing Tetris by making decisions 11 times faster, running locally on a 16GB MacBook Air! Run AI models locally -> atomic.chat

Found a new trade for when AI takes my job. Haven’t done this in 20 years. Such a relaxing task. Gotta find more shoes to mend while Claude does what I used to love 🧶🪡👞
