Got 8-way Motion Matching running in Godot with our wuxia RPG character. 9,705 searchable frames, real root trajectories, stops, turns and foot locking. The hard part was data coverage and retargeting. AI-assisted dev; actual gameplay capture. #Godot

Built with Codex + Godot 4.7.2 + Blender. Codex helped implement retargeting, real-root trajectory baking, a 32D motion database, KD-tree search, inertial transitions and foot locking. 9,705 searchable frames. Screenshots from the debugging process.
