Stay the Course, Secretary Hegseth
securingamerica.substack.com…
My friend, Pete Hegseth, is being subjected to relentless criticism led by a combination of Marxists, jihadists and a Libertarian named Rep. Thomas Massey. Massey wants the Secretary of War to resign or face impeachment, asserting his Democratic allies will be even more harsh next year.
Characteristically, Pete is defiant. And he should be, as his record is arguably that of the best leader of the Pentagon in decades.
Over the past two years, Secretary Hegseth has: led the way in restoring the U.S. military literally to fighting trim; managed warfighting in Iran with devastating effect and extremely few casualties; begun rebuilding our defense industrial base; and otherwise strengthened the national security.
For example, a PresentDangerChina.org webinar this week showcased Pete’s efforts to end Chinese and other nations’ subversive influence operations against young Americans.
Thanks for your service, Pete. Stay the course!

How is this not everywhere.
Seriously. This is insane. Listen to what he’s actually saying.

🚨🚨THE WOMAN RESPONSIBLE FOR KILLING THE WOKE AGENDA IS OFFICIALLY OUT — Harmeet Dhillon’s resignation is a massive loss. In roughly 19 months as Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, she didn’t manage the division — she detonated the old one and rebuilt it to enforce actual equal justice for every American, not just the preferred groups.
Here’s what she actually accomplished under this Trump administration:
- **Gutted the deep-state bureaucracy**: Roughly 75% of the career staff (hundreds of attorneys) left. She replaced them with 100+ new “civil rights warriors” who enforce the law as written instead of the woke agenda.
- **Killed disparate-impact theory**: Finalized the rule that eliminated race- and sex-based statistical “discrimination” claims under Title VI. No more quotas disguised as civil rights. Actual equal protection restored.
- **Created the first-ever Second Amendment Section**: Launched over a dozen lawsuits against blue-state gun bans and restrictions (LA County CCW delays, Colorado magazine bans, Virginia AR-15 bans, DC, Denver, and more). The Second Amendment is finally treated as a real civil right.
- **Election integrity offensive**: Sued roughly 30 states plus D.C. for voter-roll data to identify noncitizens and dead voters. Deployed the largest election monitoring effort in DOJ history — about 1,000 monitors across all 50 states.
- **Campus antisemitism crackdown**: Opened investigations and lawsuits against Harvard, UCLA, Columbia, and dozens of other universities. Forced major settlements and rapid hate-crime prosecutions against those attacking Jewish communities and synagogues.
- **Protected girls’ sports and women’s spaces**: Sued jurisdictions that forced biological males into female sports and facilities.
- **Ended post-Floyd consent-decree overreach**: Terminated or withdrew federal oversight of Minneapolis, Louisville, and multiple other police departments.
- **Anti-DEI and merit-based enforcement**: Investigated 50+ universities, law schools, and medical schools for race- and sex-based admissions and hiring preferences. Targeted illegal race-based hiring practices elsewhere.
- **Religious liberty and anti-Christian bias**: Stood up task forces and redirected enforcement (including the FACE Act) to protect houses of worship and pregnancy centers instead of only abortion clinics.
She turned a 60-year progressive weapon into a tool that actually defended the Constitution. The left called it a “complete 180.” They were right — and that’s exactly why it mattered.
Thank you, Harmeet Dhillon, for the relentless hard work, for your courage under fire, and for refusing to bow down to the status quo.
You set a standard.
America is better because you were there.
The fight continues. 🇺🇸🫡

Despite what Texas’s governor-elect, @GinaHinojosaTX says, vouchers aren’t a scam.
-4 in 5 students in the program come from low-income families
-1 in 4 has a disability.
Those students deserve the opportunity they were given.

In D.C., voucher lottery winners graduated high school at 82%, vs. 70% for those who lost.
In Ohio, voucher students were 16 points more likely to go to college. Texas, Ohio, and Iowa just elected governors who want to end or rein in these programs. Here’s what’s at stake 🧵

Understand the implications of what happened in Texas last night.
Gina Hinojosa has called on Gov. Abbott to end state & local cooperation with ICE & she can order that on day one.
Hinojosa voted against the 2017 SB 4 as a TX state rep. The bill was essentially a sanctuary cities ban and required TX law enforcement to cooperate with ICE detainers. She then voted against another SB 4 in 2023, which made it a state crime to cross illegally into Texas.
Should there be another border crisis in coming years, there will likely be no resistance from Texas at the border. No Texas DPS, no TX National Guard, no razor wire or water buoys, and no Operation Lone Star, which Hinojosa called a “dog and pony show” and “political theater”.
Remember when 15,000 Haitians surged illegally into Del Rio, TX in 2021 under the international bridge? That was only stopped because Texas DPS responded on Abbott’s orders and physically blocked further crossings by lining up their cruisers to form a wall. The Biden Border Patrol was caught off guard and offered almost no resistance, except for some horseback agents who were falsely slandered for “whipping”.
Additionally, because Republicans failed to pass any legislation codifying President Trump’s border security measures, if Dems take the White House in 2028, that Dem president could, if he/she wants to, reverse every single Trump border security policy immediately upon taking office because they were all done at the executive level, and they can order Border Patrol to go back to a passive catch & release policy like we saw under Biden.

We'll have full election results breakdown / reaction on next Live Free episode, but some quick thoughts...
1) The Sovereignty of God over all things is a deep comfort. As the old Christian saying goes, "I don't know what tomorrow holds, but I know Who holds tomorrow."
“For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with a psalm! God reigns over the nations; God sits on his holy throne.” (Psalm 47)
2) It is sad and grievous. Romans 1 says God’s “passive wrath” is when he “gives them up” to their sin and evil desires – when He stops restraining a people from destroying themselves and lets them have the evil things they want.
The United States intentionally chose things like max-boosting infant murder up to the moment of birth, legislated sexual perversion that will wreak havoc on a rising generation, the expansion of Islamic influence on our nation, elected leaders openly hostile to Christianity, and in at least 2 cases (TX and Kansas) chose what the New Testamant would define as (and I do not say this lightly or flippantly) demonic, apostate false teachers to lead them.
This is an example of Romans 1 playing out before your eyes.
3) There is no political solution to a spiritual problem. Politics cannot fix what politics did not break, and Mankind was broken long before any political system.
The hope of the world has been and remains Jesus Christ, reformation and revival in our nation that has the ability to reach inside the chests of men and women and make them new men and women who want (and vote for) new things.
Christ is the only way out of the chaos.
4) Important lessons to be learned for conservatives. Wisdom would not be to blame *everything* on "dumb / evil voters."
Basic leadership: "Face the brutal facts (learn and adjust), maintain unwavering faith."
5) Sadness is ok, but despair is a sin. "Therefore, we DO NOT lose heart" (2 Cor 4:16).
Head up, chest out, knees down, glory up... do not grow weary in doing good, we build and fight (Nehemiah).
What are we going to do? Get up with joy in our eyes, love in our hearts, steel in our spines and keep assaulting heaven for an outpouring of God's Spirit, sharing Christ, planting churches, making disciples and deploying them in all areas of society in eager anticipation of the next Great Awakening in our land.
Tomb's still empty, y'all :)
6) We do what the people of God have always done in time of need: WE PRAY.
See you at Encounter tonight at all Lakepointe campuses at 7pm, doors open early for you to come and "pray for the prayer meeting."

Muslims have a plan to make America a Muslim nation.
Marxists have a plan to make America a Marxist nation.
Secular Progressives have a plan to make America a Secular Progressive nation.
… but Christians seem to always have a plan to keep Christianity from further influencing our nation by discipling people into either:
1) Political apathy (“God is sovereign, back off”, “we don’t get political, just do evangelism”)
2) Political ambiguity (“Jesus isn’t a Republican or Democrat, neither Right nor Left” = primary application of gospel to culture)
If continued, this will have very predictable (and disastrous) results in coming years, and a few conversations with pastors in deep blue cities / states trying to build churches, pastor people, and raise Christian families will help you realize it.

No, You Cannot Give Up
The Democrats finally delivered the "blue wave" they had long been promising. Up and down the ticket, Republicans fell in races they had previously considered safe. A few thoughts.
1) Yes, this was a national wave. With minor variation, Republicans on the statewide ballot fell by the same percentages. But, as I wrote back in September, Texas Republicans spent 25 years in power but used much of their "incumbency" energy holding power rather than using it. Voters care about tangible results, not the ratio of Rs to Ds. For example, property taxes are higher than ever, and no number of press releases can hide that. (The same is true nationally, where the universally popular SAVE Act was stymied by the Senate's GOP majority.)
2) A lack of party discipline has consequences. Yes, John Cornyn and Sid Miller did some damage to the GOP ticket with their sore-loser attacks on their respective successors, but the real damage happened over time. For decades, the GOP refused to demand that their logo-bearers toe the legislative line. Republicans tolerated bad behavior; what was sowed has now been reaped.
3) Florida offers a useful example. Last night's nationwide rout of Republicans was felt less in Florida than elsewhere. There, Republicans have delivered the tangible results Floridians wanted, and so voters rewarded the candidates.
4) You are needed now, more than ever. While politicians can walk away after a loss, We the People have a moral obligation to stay in the fight, regardless of who temporarily holds any particular office. A bad night requires that each of us march boldly forward, remembering that the promise of liberty in Texas is worth it.
In the fight for the republic, we must always be happy warriors. So, gird up your loins and be of good cheer. You are now the resistance in Texas.
