Hey @David_J_Bier, how does the Cato Institute factor in this type of selective prosecution into its “immigrants commit less crimes” study?
Oh right. It doesn’t.

Austin’s ballot language on the props is doing a lot of work.
They’re all consequential and in many cases completely misleading.
Know the actual effects before you vote.
Are you still researching Austin's propositions? The choices are substantial, even the "non-substantive" ones.
I've posted the actual amendment language, analyzed the changes, and presented my stances.

The TX GOP needs to close primaries and move to party registration. The lack of it has led to extreme speculation and major gaslighting over “models.”
Notice no one is gaslighting anyone on Florida, because we can see all the party registration shifts moving toward normal dispositions.
Then finally weaklings like @RepPatFallon can stop going on Fox and projecting so much weakness. You never see democrats busy losing a state like MI doing thst because they know they’ll only ensure everyone against them goes out to finish the job.
Replying to @RealSKeshel
Seth, is this local story a Dem ad or information🤣

If Microsoft is offering buyouts and early retirement to 60,000 employees, then I guess they won't need any H-1B visas this year or next year?
@StephenM can you let us know if Microsoft is cancelling all of their H-1B visa applications?

Hey, 60 Minutes, now that the entire premise of your fake refugee story has been exposed as a scam, will you be retracting it?
Maybe you shouldn't have used a "prison and border abolitionist" and socialist as a primary source.
@bariweiss your credibility is on the line.
“They sent him to Ghana, with full knowledge that Ghana is systematically deporting refugees back to the very countries they fled,” says immigration attorney Meredyth Yoon.
60 Minutes obtained the names of all the people on a flight that left Texas on July 30th and took deportees to three countries in Africa, including Ghana. Of the 19 deportees 60 Minutes reached who were sent to Ghana, 17 say they were then transported against their will to countries U.S. immigration judges ruled they should not be returned to. Moussa Diawara was one of them. The Department of Homeland Security told 60 Minutes that Ghana had provided the U.S. with “diplomatic assurances for [Diawara’s] safety.”
Yoon says the U.S. government was warned about Ghana’s conduct in a lawsuit last year. Despite this, the U.S. sent 10 more flights to Ghana, which Yoon believes is a violation of international law. cbsn.ws/4zTVoQo

FSD could literally free up OVER $1.5 trillion/yr... WHY isn't anyone talking about this??
If Lawmakers were serious about serving the people, they would start focusing on how to speed up FSD adoption.
The Data:
Fatal & serious crashes cost the U.S. almost $2 trillion per year in total societal harm; including ~$400 billion in direct economic costs in the form of:
- medical bills
- property damage
- lost wages
- enormous quality-of-life cost of lost years
- permanent disability
Tesla’s latest FSD data shows vehicles with FSD engaged are ~9× SAFER than the average driver.
That means, if fully adopted, FSD could produce savings the size of any one of these:
- ~6% of GDP
- The entire Social Security program
- Medicare AND Medicaid
- Roughly 2× the defense budget
At this scale, FSD (and technologies like it) could be one of the first real steps toward an age of AI "abundance" people talk about.
50 years from now, our children and grandchildren will look back in horror at the fact that we ever drove at all.

Wait @Uber allows illegal aliens to drive??
Sounds like a pretty big deal…
Perhaps @DHSgov and @USDOT should investigate this
A Texas father who had lived in the U.S. for 25 years with no criminal record was finishing his night shift as an Uber driver when immigration agents detained him.
Without being able to speak to his lawyer or a judge, he was put on a plane and sent first to Ghana, a country where he had no ties. He was then sent to his home country, despite a determination by a U.S. immigration court judge that he could not be deported there due to likely persecution. cbsn.ws/3Ude66r
