great initiative, @asaefstroem is one of the few that I believe can do this well & right 🫡
i will donate regularly over the coming months. this would be profoundly impactful
Today we are introducing KaspaDollar, an initiative led by core developer @asaefstroem to build the first decentralized stablecoin on the $KAS network.
The developments around @kccforum and the Toccata hardfork have considerably widened what Kaspa is capable of. Capability alone, however, does not make an ecosystem. Decentralized finance requires a unit of account that holds its value, and until Kaspa has a stablecoin of its own, every application built on it will remain dependent on assets issued elsewhere.
The design we intend to follow is the decentralized, overcollateralized stablecoin: a pattern whose security properties have been examined and tested across the industry for the better part of a decade. With the support of the core team, we consider the conditions right to bring it to Kaspa.
Realizing this requires development, an independent audit, further research, and the operational work of taking a protocol from specification to production. To fund it, we are opening a fundraiser with a target of 5,000,000 KAS.
Contributions are made directly to the fundraising address published on the website. Should the target not be reached by 1 January 2027, every contribution will be returned to the address from which it was sent.
Up until that point, this account will share the plans, details and progress of the work as it develops.
x4kas beta v0.1.0:
A Kaspalytics that you can run locally.
This (MVP/beta) version is focused on monitoring & analyzing $KAS activity. Including features Kaspalytics does not have, such as:
- Query tool
- Address monitor
- A data-limited explorer
Is beta, needs love. Has some quirks and remaining AI slop that hasn't been ironed out yet.
Includes desktop GUI + CLI. CLI is an attempt at giving local agents something to work with.
This app aspires to be Bloomberg Terminal-esque for Kaspa. As such, it grow to include more (wallet, ecosystem integrations, KCCs, etc.).
Happy to have some time again to get back into Kaspa.
Issues, feedback and contributions are welcome

A Kaspa TUI & Feelings on AI-Assisted Development
A weird mash-up of topics in a single xeet here but...
I enjoy software development, I really do. Have been at it for ~10 years (rly not long in the grand scheme of things).
For ~9 months I've been (very) sad that something I get so much fulfillment from, and invested 10 yrs into, was changing.
Still felt that way despite xp'ing the benefits AI. Have been using at my day job and on select personal projects.
Kaspa development in Rust is really the only thing I've been doing almost entirely by hand lately - to keep up knowledge and learn.
Starting to feel empowered over the last few weeks. And could argue I'm getting close to the same enjoyment out of software development. Probably goes hand in hand with recent advances in AI models.
Genuinely, AI is now better at development than I am. Not that I am great anyways. I probably only beat it in context, nuance, and vision.
I've long wanted to write a TUI Kaspa app
Why should you need to use Kaspalytics? Roll your own local app with next to no infra...
8 hours of very specific prompting this weekend with Opus 4.6 (and pointing it at Kaspalytics code), was able to get a rough Kaspa TUI going. Probably would have taken a few hundred hours myself.
Has a ton of issues. Data in pic below is inaccurate. I will review and fix all of that, will ensure it produces accurate data, and update once that's done.
Bunch of other features I'd like to add to this thing - protocol clients, l2 integration, wallet (developed with extreme extreme caution), covenant support, first class agent tooling, etc.
It's just amazing. Primary bounding is creativity, no longer time.
Sry for the long post.
(Experimental) Silverscript bindings are available in Kaspa Python SDK
Provides the ability to compile Silverscript contracts & build signature scripts natively from Python. Then build/submit the txs using existing SDK tooling.
Full example: github.com/kaspanet/kaspa-py…
Currently only available via build/install from latest source on Github (instructions: kaspanet.github.io/kaspa-pyt…). Will be included in next versioned release and available via PyPi then.
