Couple more injury scares avoided. Poitras right back out after taking a shot off the hand. McAvoy right back out after taking a stick to the ear.
Minten gets the penalty, but that's on Borgen. You just can't hold onto the puck that long against Carolina's forecheck and expect anything good to happen. After that first regroup, just go glass and out and live to fight another day.
What an entertaining first period. Living up to the 1v2 billing so far. Tied 1-1.
Looks like the Bruins survived a couple injury scares. Zacha didn't miss a shift after an awkward fall. Borgen was mouthing "I'm fine" after being hobbled on a block.
What a play by Khusnutdinov. Gives his stick to a D, blocks a shot, and pushes the puck out of the zone with his glove.
I don't know how what Jeannot did was a penalty but what Svechnikov just did wasn't. Svechnikov's looked way more obvious and the ref was looking right at it.

I like a lot of these, including the Bruins. Anaheim is my easy favorite. Carolina and Dallas stink, and Minnesota just looks like Dallas.
