Statement from former Justice Dept officials at Justice Connection about Harmeet Dhillon's demise
“Harmeet Dhillon has been the most destructive, lawless, and hateful head of the Civil Rights Division in DOJ history. After she upended the division’s mission-critical work, the civil servants who dedicated their careers to protecting vulnerable communities were instead told to target them – and more than three-quarters of the division’s lawyers left. Dhillon wielded the enormous power of the Justice Department to threaten universities, state and local officials, and election workers in spurious cases that rarely won in court"

Elon Musk has a warning for Democrats: if they investigate him after the midterm elections, he intends to retaliate.
His message is simple: those who come after him should expect consequences. Musk has also threatened to pursue the people he believes are really behind such investigations, not just the politicians involved.
But here's a question.
Why should a billionaire whose companies receive billions of dollars in federal contracts consider congressional oversight a threat?
If Musk's activities at DOGE, his business dealings, and his companies' government contracts are entirely legal and transparent, answering congressional questions should not be a problem.
SpaceX and other Musk-linked businesses have extensive financial relationships with the federal government. Taxpayers have every right to know whether those relationships involve conflicts of interest, preferential treatment, or improper influence.
Congressional oversight is not political persecution. It is a fundamental part of American democracy.
If investigations uncover serious violations, the government should examine whether existing contracts should continue, subject to applicable law.
And threatening retaliation against investigators raises questions of its own.
No billionaire is above the law. No government contractor is entitled to immunity from scrutiny. And no amount of money should buy protection from congressional accountability.
Government contracts are paid for by the American people. They are not a personal shield against the American people.

🔥 Ukraine’s drone diplomacy just turned Russia’s biggest data centers into smoking outdoor art. Yandex in Sasovo, Kaluga, Vladimir? Torched. Sberbank’s mega-center? Surprise ventilation upgrade. Retaliation for hitting Ukrainian hubs, or just really committed to open-air server racks.

Lauren Boebert came into Congress passing her GED in 2020 on her third try. Her then ex-husband was a registered sex offender and since serving her son is now facing felony charges for sexual assault on a minor. She was seen giving a hand job in a theater in an open crowd and has had multiple affairs with her staff.
It's really way overdue that we make Congress a place to be respected again, not a grievance pool of GOP unqualified, grifters.
Good riddance.
What a cowardly bitch move.
Couldn't handle it himself so he sicced his followers after him.
Weak as CATPISS.
Trump always said he'd build a wall, embarrassing for him Mexico didn't pay for it.
The entire MAGA Republicans...
Did.
It's a glorius sight to behold the many, many die hard Trump sycophants starting their "I barely knew him" distancing posts.
Even better is how badly they are being bodyslammed in replies.

YES!!! Jack Smith could investigate Donald Trump again.
House Democrats could hire him as chief investigative counsel.
He could question witnesses under oath, and the committee could subpoena records.

Imagine the irate, unhinged outrage had Jill Biden, Michelle Obama or Hillary Clinton did the identical.
This is a spit to the face of ALL America, and its allies (well, those still remaining after being sold out by Trump.)

Q: Putin right now kills Ukrainian civilians in their apartments, on buses, in schools. Did you bring that up?
TRUMP: I did bring that up, and I always bring it up the other way. The other way they kill too. Russia is losing civilians also
