Laying the table, sorting socks, sharing out food - adults count things out all the time without even noticing
Today’s idea for learning at home through play is to count out loud so your child can hear & see what you do
They may want to join in too!

Today’s idea for learning through play is a “winter walk”
Noticing the seasons can give a sense of stability & order for children (and us) - and there is a lot to see that tells us it is still winter
What can you see, feel, smell or hear today? #TeamELC

Please note change of date for our opening. We are devastated at the death of Jessi to cancer, youngest sibling of the Maclennan family and have changed the date as a mark of respect.

Rhymers are readers. "If a child knows 8 nursery rhymes by heart by the time they are 4 years old, they are usually among the best readers and spellers in their class by the time they are 8". M. Fox, Reading Magic. #rhymeweek #nurseryrhymes #literacy #TuesdayThoughts
Could be worth a read as using digital tools is part of our school improvement plan and each pupil in p6 and p7 has been issued with their own chromebook and pupils in all classes will also have access to chromebooks.
The #DigitalParenting guide provides clear, structured resources to help families become #confident and self-assured with technology.
