This shows that X is the news leader. And will be for a long time to come. I couldn’t do this on any other service. The world changed this week as @bot got hooked up to lists in a very deep way.
The smart person's GrokBot News Monitor. The ultimate news monitor watching X's tech and news communities. news-pulse-docs-4g7j.pages.g… Bookmark this. See thread for more details on what this is doing:

Elon Musk and SpaceX have stood with Ukraine from the start. When Russia destroyed cell towers, cut fiber lines and jammed other satellite links, Starlink kept Ukraine’s defenders connected. SpaceX provided a vital lifeline when other communications failed.

I love Grok Bot, but one thing would genuinely make it feel like AGI: A wearable. Glasses, a charm, a watch. Anything. My biggest problem with AI right now is that I still have to be glued to a laptop or phone to get anything done. I realized this at dinner a few days ago. I spent the whole meal on my phone prompting my bots. I feel like the future is a physical bridge to the digital world, so I can live my normal life while my bots keep working in the background. It would be so cool to just have glasses that manage a dashboard showing all my bots/workflows. Idk if I'm just lazy or if anyone else feels this lol

The more I dig into what's happening on the ground in Austin with Robotaxi, the more excited I get. Feels like something really is brewing. The screaming question for me remains whether they can scale quickly in multiple cities, or if it's only happening this fast in Austin because it's their home base/they've had the most time to validate here. Still wondering how much infrastructure is needed and how difficult it is to stand up in new cities. But they really are starting to prove to me that they are getting more confident in the software. Cybercab deployment is going hella fast, and hearing all of this feedback from F1 weekend is impressive. Everything happened later than expected, but it really does feel like Tesla the company has a very bright stretch ahead of it. Unprecedented consumer vehicle demand, Robotaxi finally proving itself. Starting to feel the hype energy brewing again.

I hooked up the new Krea connector to Grok Bot and told my Chief of Staff to make a short film featuring all of my pinned bots and their halloween-themed avatars. Told it to just make whatever it wanted. Here's what it returned... 😂😂

Translating @elonmusk here: He’s basically saying the easy money for AI data center startups just dried up. Prior to this if you had a pulse, power contracts and GPUs, you could raise gobs of money. Lenders have stopped giving loans to companies whose only business is building GPU farms (aka neoclouds). Unsurprisingly they now want companies that already make real money from something else. @SpaceXSI can still borrow billions for GPUs because it has @Starlink and rocket revenue. Most of the 200+ pure-play neoclouds don’t have that, so a lot of them are going to run out of cash, fail, or get bought cheap.
Replying to @chamath
Pretty much. As of the past few weeks, debt markets have almost entirely shut off access to money for any company that doesn’t have substantial revenue independent of AI data centers. SpaceX closed $40B of debt for GPUs, but we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue. That means the 200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death and consolidation. Some will make it through, but not many.

My biggest pet peeve with FSD is the lack of understanding lanes that are coming to an end. It constantly tries to get around traffic, but will put itself into a lane that is immediately ending creating pretty unsafe situations.

Brutal truth from @Lethain “If you're in [middle] management (…) you sort of have to decide, am I retiring now or am I re-skilling?” He did just this: step down from leading a large team (250 ppl) to be hands-on with a small team (25 ppl), ship code & re-learn the new “rules”
Why a 3x CTO went back to a 25-person team. From Will Larson @lethain, Imprint CTO and 4x book author. "It's a hard time in middle management, right? There's a lot more competition for these roles. What I found personally very rewarding is getting back into the details of writing software. When I left Carta, my team was around 250. When I joined Imprint, the team I was leading was 25. This a unique moment to actually re-skill. If you're in management, I think right now either you have to get back into the details, or the world is changing so radically that the profession you know will not be valued in three years. You sort of have to decide, am I retiring now or am I re-skilling? I think there has to be some openness to taking a backward step or a lateral step. What I knew I wanted was getting back into the details and relearning how to do software in the current age. That's what I believe is going to be the unlock to the longevity of my career."

there's way too much obsession with being at "cutting edge" right now as though it has to do with what tools you picked it's all about how you use them and your creativity. people doing great work can do it in vanilla claude code
