It has to be assured that the workers who likely died in the bridge collapse “are all hard-working, humble men” because their humanity in this country is only worth their output. Their existence has to be justified even in such horrific undeserved circumstances.
The missing men are from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras & Mexico, and live in Dundalk & Highlandtown. They are in their 30s and 40s, he said, w spouses & children.
All of them came to the city for a better life.

Construction value is not the measure of the success of a city or its mayor. Residents can't eat and drink new construction. They aren't educated by it. It doesn't lift them out of poverty. It doesn't put fluoride in the water or take lead out of it. And it doesn't pay the rent.
