I'm currently taking on new projects - specifically within the intersection between traditional CMS work and agentic workflows.
Especially around the bits people commonly struggle with - pushing vibe coded projects past the finish line, understanding more complex UX/user requirements, product design involving interconnected 3rd party systems.
If that's something you're in need of assistance with (got a project idea or an existing AI-assisted prototype you want to push further?) give me a shout!
Project or day rates available.
Do you wanna carve a pumpkin? *sings off-tune*
I built this for obvious seasonal reasons, but also because I like the UX challenges of fun li'l apps like this. Vibe coded slop, of course. But with a bit of effort on top.
Feedback welcome.

I've been making a li'l app for carving pumpkins (because yes it's October already argh! what? where did 2026 go?)
The best way to read the PHP exploit situation imo is that there's a certain inevitability about this - and it's not limited to PHP. Any language/system is fair game.
Frontier AI intelligence is going to increase the pace at which these sorts of exploits are discovered. And the fact there were *only* two discovered in PHP of this nature is probably something to applaud.
BUT it's a bumpy road in terms of announcing and fixing these things.
The legacy nature of PHP means a MASSIVE footprint of potential attack vectors have been revealed. But keeping them under wraps isn't an option either. Likely within a few months everyone would have access to a model capable of easily finding them.
It's not that PHP as a language is incompatible with modern AI-enabled security practices (it's a good language). The whole ecosystem built on hand-written code and "security through obscurity" is being dismantled and rebuilt and we just gotta figure out a way through.
tl;dr PHP not dead. just in the frontlines for this battle
Nice! (just fyi for anyone else looking for this) wpenginestatus.com/incidents…
Happy (running around trying to remember the password to the email account that was used to sign up for the WordPress hosting account 7 years ago) day for all those who celebrate
It's all well and good asking an AI to make an important decision, but remember:
It gets to stop existing at the end of the sentence. You've got to accept the consequences of the decision yourself.
Why aren't you using more pencil and paper?
There's literally more opportunity than ever now to step away from the screen and sketch out your thoughts and ideas in peace, in a quiet setting, away from noise and chaos. Feed them to the beast later. Let it do the annoying bits.
- Draw out some interface UI/UX (AI is srsly rly bad at this)
- Note down ideas for an app, free from distraction, limited by design
- Cure your LLM psychosis by reading normal words again
You don't need a tool to help you manage all your ideas or workflows to build all your ideas or agentic harnesses to iterate on all your ideas, you need a tool to stop you having so many ideas.
Building a silly little game at the moment with Claude and I'm starting to wonder if building the game is the actual game now. Have spent a whole week just enjoying bounce lighting. Feels very satisfying tracking down missing textures.
