We are proud to celebrate Uganda’s successful participation at the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge Grand Finale, held during the @AIforGood Global Summit 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland.
Our young innovators demonstrated creativity, resilience, teamwork, and the immense potential of Uganda’s next generation in robotics and #AI. Beyond the competition, they returned with invaluable knowledge, global exposure, new friendships, and renewed determination to innovate for a better future.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the @ITU through the @AIforGood for creating this transformative global platform & enabling memorable participation of Uganda's teams & other #LDCs, and to all the enablers who made Uganda’s participation possible especially @UNDPUganda, @GovUganda, @UCC_ED @BalaamBarugahar, @MoICT_Ug, @UCC_Official , @Educ_SportsUg, @MoJCAUG, @Mglsd_UG, @Makerere, @MakerereTIC, @EngJonard , @NITAUganda1 , @ProfNawangwe , @STIsecretariat @MbabaziMma, @KiiraMotors participating schools, parents, mentors, and partners.
Together, we are proving that when young people are given the opportunity, resources, and support, they can confidently take Uganda to the world.
The journey continues. The lessons gained from #Geneva provide a strong foundation for improving performance in the 2026/2027 Robotics for Good Youth Challenge, whose global theme will focus on Health Emergencies ( @MinofHealthUG ), positioning Uganda to compete even more strongly on the international stage.

This morning, I interacted with my Bazzukulu, moderated by my daughter Natasha at Nakasero during the Jazz with Jajja conversation. I reminded them that while dancing, football and entertainment are important, young people must not lose sight of the basics, especially the regional market and the East African Federation. Development must come before pleasure.
I also told them that what motivates me is love for myself as a Muhoororo of the Cow Clan, as a Ugandan and as an African. I love our people and our future generations. History teaches us that the world is not kind to the weak. That is why I have always worked to ensure Africans remain strong, independent and never return to slavery.
We shall have more of these engagements.
