Zendaya speaks on pursuing roles beyond those traditionally written for Black or mixed-race women:
“I don’t want any bounds on my creativity.”
She had to have been born from some ancient god’s severed penis thrown into the ocean like Aphrodite because it’s inconceivable that any mortals were responsible for her creation.
The latest trailer for Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Three, starring Zendaya is out now.
In theaters December 16, 2026.

Those who obsess over this topic don't want to acknowledge that they have inner conflicts about race that they're projecting onto others. You wouldn't demand so much of Zendaya if you were comfortable with your own image. You would have a clear standard and enforce it.
Zendaya is set to star in an untitled sci-fi film directed by Alex Garland (Ex Machina, 28 Days Later) for A24.
