Landing leg design and hardware finalized for Unity R!
Each strut has a damper that connects to the foot using a small magnet. Launch in a few months.
Unity R retro propulsion motors! These 4x F15s will provide orientation, velocity, and altitude control during the descent portion of flight. The nominal thrust for landing is 60% and can reach 90% total thrust. The motors can gimbal to horizontal to hover before landing.
Photon D2 flight computer design complete. This new version adds interrupts to the sensors, more outputs needed for the landing rocket, and various other small changes to decrease cost.
