I think this would be my final big board for 2026. Took a bit more of an egalitarian approach - being higher/lower relative to consensus is probably indicative of how I view that prospect. Couldn't find the time to finish a write up, but any opinions/questions are welcome.

I’m watching the Jazz try to run offscreen motion offense with JJJ as the screener and Jaxson Hayes as the hub. On the one hand, they dearly miss Nurkic. On the other, I’m not sure if a team should be as reliant as this on a 32 year old center.

Second game into the new season, none of the players have even attempted using their off arm on space creation Should be interesting monitoring the wing creation process this season

When it comes to draft prospects, shooter archetypes seem to be widely linked with “high floor”, when in reality it’s prob the opposite. Having to rely on a specific skill for production just makes the margin for error much thinner - if the shot doesn’t fall, end of story.

And this problem stems from the fact that shooting translation is still one of the more trickier aspects to evaluate. This was a thought that came to my mind when I was looking back at the supposed shooters in the 2023 draft

To paraphrase the implications of Stokes’ profile at the moment: “A contact based driver, that ironically has trouble with live dribble translation under contact.” The result is early pickup habits + relatively underwhelming drive explosiveness/force considering his frame
My Tyran Stokes main observation point is usage of "forearm only" traits. The ground contact area of the dribble is narrow, and above all, the upper arm (including the elbow) is closely attached to the torso with little variability, using only the forearm for the dribble. So

To stop from sounding too negative, to me his spacial awareness (aka. feel) is still a special trait. His tendencies are more of something to monitor in his pro translation - the main thing to watch for me rn is the scoring profile + passing windows on deep drives.

I like Daron Holmes even though there's more competition for postion in Denver. So I'd bet some team will take a cheap flyer on his tools. Dribble/Pass/Screen(with continuity) (below clips shows up his those traits)

Allen Graves may be slow in raw speed, but I don’t think there are many other players as quick as him in reactionary timing. Being athletically gifted isn’t a one dimensional concept, yet the more nuanced parts of athleticism just continue to be underrated in player evaluation.
Allen Graves steals. Disruptive steals within the defensive shell(not a gamble steal attempt), executed with exceptional spatial awareness and lightning-fast arm extension. Remarkably Macro slow but Micro fast.

One way of looking into a player's movement profile is the natural body position. With Morez Johnson, it's his wide stance. Wide hips, with both legs rotating outwards from his body. Directly leads to his main strengths: lateral movement on perimeter defense + ground coverage

c. Drop defense When you combine his physical tendencies, the result is: Slower reactions at changing directions + weaker backpedal stride control + requires load up on vertical transition + no second jump Which is why I have questions with Morez at the 5, esp on drop coverages

He'll be productive at switch+hedge type situations, but his weaknesses should limit his rim presence on drops + Dreb security Which is why I think his profile is more of a defensive 4, playing next to another big. The vision is something like a slower/bigger prime Vando imo.

What if the implications are worse than the deal itself? 1. Less minutes for Rollins/Jaku/Burries. Remember, Herro is already on the team. 2. How ‘movable’ is this contract? We saw the market for 3 yr 45 mil Schroder last year, what about full guaranteed 64 mil?
Free agent guard Gary Trent Jr. has agreed to a four-year, $64 million deal to stay with the Milwaukee Bucks, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul and agent Lucas Newton tells ESPN.

This is a team without control of their own 1st round picks until 2030. Between Turner’s contract, 22 mil dead cap of Lillard, and this, they’ll likely have limited cap flexibility through this timeline. Then just created a logjam at their current most promising position

This has to be one of the more unathletic sequences in recent memory, in both offense and defense
