Blizzard revealed that World of Warcraft: Forever was running on 3,924 virtual machines, 251,136GB of RAM and 70,480 CPU cores to handle the launch. And it seems to have worked. Players reported almost no queues, disconnects or lag. Blizzard Executive Producer Holly Longdale praised the team, saying: “This launch was crazier than the insanity we imagined but thankfully the team built plans and contingencies. They are incredible imo.”
